About Tripp Sims

We live in Atlanta. Although I live a mere 86 miles from the property, Once I place my feet on the ground at Reynolds Landing, I feel I am a world away from the stress and the busyness of life. As you can see from the photo, my dog, Deacon, has found a lil' slice of Heaven right hear on earth swimming and playing in the cove and chasing wildlife from dusk to dawn next door in the open field.

Tripp Sims purchased this house in 2007

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a wonderful time at your beautiful lake house. The weather was perfect. We had no idea what to expect when we bid on this at the silent auction. That is very kind of you to welcome others in your lake house. We had plenty of room for all of us. We all wish we could have stayed longer. We loved the nearby marina they were very nice we highly recommend using them. We rented a ski boat on two of three days. We also had quite a few who liked to fish and everyone had good luck catching all kinds of fish.We brought our canoe and we used your kayak to look around the lake. We could not have asked for a better getaway. We hope that you continue to rent, you were very easy to work with and had great customer service.

A Perfect Summer Vacation Spot

  • 5 of 5

We want to share with everyone how amazing of a time we had on our annual summer vacation trip to Lake Oconee. From the very beginning with our inquiry about the lake home, Tripp has been a pleasure to work with. He answered all of our questions and communicated with us as much as needed. Tripp was very accommodating towards our family of five with young children, plus the grandparents stopping in from time to time. He took care of all the details for us and made recommendations to local restaurants, entertainment and farmers markets. We never had any trouble with our reservation!

The property itself deserves it's own paragraph (and special recognition!). Pictures simply don't do it justice! We have rented lake homes in the same subdivision for the past five years and this one takes the trophy for being the best! When we arrived we found the house to be in tip-top shape, clean both inside and outside. The artwork made for great conversation for everyone, including the kids, who loved all the different pieces. The kitchen had just enough cooking utensils to meet our needs (we did a lot of cooking) and the bedrooms slept very comfortably. We truly felt like this lake home was a delightful retreat from home! The views were magnificent as we spent most of our time on the dock enjoying the water and taking our boat for a ride. The boat ramp was less than a 5-minute boat ride and there was plenty of room to park the trailer at the house. Tripp went the extra mile for us when we asked about shade on the dock for our 3-month old baby girl by purchasing a nice 9 ft. umbrella for us to enjoy. What a treat and nice gesture! Even the neighbors were accommodating as Mrs. Barbara provided our kids with a trampoline to use during our stay. We caught a lot of fish and the weather was perfect. Finally, we enjoyed our last evening grilling out and enjoying a campfire. A prefect ending to a perfect vacation!

Thanks, Tripp, for everything you did to make it wonderful for our family. We will certainly return again soon!

Great vacation for family of 7

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four plus a friend stayed a week in this lovely vacation home. Very clean and well maintained property. The owner was very accommodating. This vacation rental is located in a beautiful community and is close to many restaurants as well as a Publix grocery store. We enjoyed a cup of coffee at the fire pit in the mornings and our kids enjoyed roasting marshmallows in the evenings. Our daughter 14, who loves to fish caught a large catfish and a small large mouth bass during our stay. Traffic on the lake was minimal which was awesome for boating and tubing. Thank you Tripp for sharing your vacation home.

Ideal Setting & Flawless Accomodations

  • 5 of 5

In looking for a location to bring our family together from around the country, this lake home was perfect. An easy 90 minutes from Atlanta Airport the house is in a gorgeous gated community at Reynolds Plantation. We enjoyed sitting on the deck overlooking the lake in this wooded backyard as well as sunning on the large dock. Having a tandem kayak available was a particular bonus and being minutes from several marinas allowed us to rent a pontoon boat and explore Lake Oconee. The home is immaculate and wonderfully decorated with lake art and artifacts. The owner was terrific in accommodating our travel schedule and checked via email a couple of times during the long weekend to make sure we had everything we needed. We would highly recommend this rental! Made for a perfect Memorial Day weekend.

Great stay during Masters week

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this home for Masters week. All 4 of us had our own rooms with comfortable beds. Home was fully equipped, all we had to bring was food and drinks. Loved the decor and artwork, not in your face art, but certainly not a typical drab vacation home rental. Located on the water, on an inlet off the main lake. We didn't boat but would be fantastic location to have had boat access.

Area is ideal. Reynolds Plantation has some top notch golf courses with breath-taking views along the water. Great Waters golf course was our favorite. Minutes away from shopping and really good local restaurants. The owner Tripp was excellent with his communication, very proactive in reaching out to us to makes sure everything was ok and gave us an extensive list of shopping and restaurant recommendations.

Thanks for letting us rent your great home for a very memorable week. Hope to return again.

My house in The Landing at Reynolds Plantation is very close to many wonderful restaurants, an 8 screen movie theater and upscale shopping. There is championship golf available not only in Reynolds Landing but also Reynolds Plantation. Lake Oconee, the 2nd largest lake in Georgia, is packed with world class golf and a slew of water activities including swimming, skiing, tubing and fishing. I have caught untold number of fish from my Dock and you will often see Bass Fishermen lingering in the cove looking for the big catch. The local marina rents boats and jet skis which can certainly be parked at my private dock for your stay. A short drive, one can visit the beautiful antebellum towns of Madison, Greensboro and Eatonton to sightsee and antique shop.
