About Tripp Sims

We live in Atlanta. Although I live a mere 86 miles from the property, Once I place my feet on the ground at Reynolds Landing, I feel I am a world away from the stress and the busyness of life. As you can see from the photo, my dog, Deacon, has found a lil' slice of Heaven right hear on earth swimming and playing in the cove and chasing wildlife from dusk to dawn next door in the open field.

Tripp Sims purchased this house in 2007

What makes this house unique

'The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quiet, alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be.'

.......Anne Frank..........

It truly has a special place in my heart and I am honored to be able to share this wonderful home with folks that appreciate the healing aspects of nature. Should you decide to rent it for a weekend or week, I will do anything and everything to ensure that your stay will also be a special one.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a wonderful time at your beautiful lake house. The weather was perfect. We had no idea what to expect when we bid on this at the silent auction. That is very kind of you to welcome others in your lake house. We had plenty of room for all of us. We all wish we could have stayed longer. We loved the nearby marina they were very nice we highly recommend using them. We rented a ski boat on two of three days. We also had quite a few who liked to fish and everyone had good luck catching all kinds of fish.We brought our canoe and we used your kayak to look around the lake. We could not have asked for a better getaway. We hope that you continue to rent, you were very easy to work with and had great customer service.

Thanksgiving Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time. It was close for our daughter that couldn't come home for Thanksgiving because of college. The house was warm and family friendly. Made cooking easy and we loved the art around the house. Every day we found something we hadn't seen before. Looking forward to next time when we can play golf and enjoy the lake. Great fire pit for samores with the kids!

Fabulous stay at Reynolds Landing!

  • 5 of 5

I can't say enough good things.....my 5 HS girlfriends and I (we are all 63 yrs old now) take an annual trip and this year we went to Tripp's beautiful house on Lake Oconee! Two weeks out, we got an email that our original booking at another property had a water line that broke and flooded everything and would not be repaired by our scheduled arrival. Luckily, we found Tripp's home and from my first email he has been incredibly responsive and accommodating! The home and location are wonderful.....just perfect for our trip. Who knew we would love the 'toys'....paddle boards and a kayak? We enjoyed the deck every morning for coffee and every evening for wine. We sat by the fire pit, talked and enjoyed the peaceful view. Our last night was a little cooler so we had a fire. Sunsets were awesome! Walks around the neighborhood were great. One of the neighbors took us out on his boat (we asked where we could rent one). The kitchen was fully stocked, the beds were really comfortable, the home was clean, extra chairs were in the garage.....the grocery store and liquor store were close. This home could not have been more perfect for our trip! The ambiance with all the local artwork, collectibles and decor just gave it a 'homey' 'feel'. I/we highly recommend this home/owner and should we come back to this area, this is where we will book. Plus everyone we met was so, so friendly! Thanks Tripp!

A Perfect Summer Vacation Spot

  • 5 of 5

We want to share with everyone how amazing of a time we had on our annual summer vacation trip to Lake Oconee. From the very beginning with our inquiry about the lake home, Tripp has been a pleasure to work with. He answered all of our questions and communicated with us as much as needed. Tripp was very accommodating towards our family of five with young children, plus the grandparents stopping in from time to time. He took care of all the details for us and made recommendations to local restaurants, entertainment and farmers markets. We never had any trouble with our reservation!

The property itself deserves it's own paragraph (and special recognition!). Pictures simply don't do it justice! We have rented lake homes in the same subdivision for the past five years and this one takes the trophy for being the best! When we arrived we found the house to be in tip-top shape, clean both inside and outside. The artwork made for great conversation for everyone, including the kids, who loved all the different pieces. The kitchen had just enough cooking utensils to meet our needs (we did a lot of cooking) and the bedrooms slept very comfortably. We truly felt like this lake home was a delightful retreat from home! The views were magnificent as we spent most of our time on the dock enjoying the water and taking our boat for a ride. The boat ramp was less than a 5-minute boat ride and there was plenty of room to park the trailer at the house. Tripp went the extra mile for us when we asked about shade on the dock for our 3-month old baby girl by purchasing a nice 9 ft. umbrella for us to enjoy. What a treat and nice gesture! Even the neighbors were accommodating as Mrs. Barbara provided our kids with a trampoline to use during our stay. We caught a lot of fish and the weather was perfect. Finally, we enjoyed our last evening grilling out and enjoying a campfire. A prefect ending to a perfect vacation!

Thanks, Tripp, for everything you did to make it wonderful for our family. We will certainly return again soon!

Notes:
My house in The Landing at Reynolds Plantation is very close to many wonderful restaurants, an 8 screen movie theater and upscale shopping. There is championship golf available not only in Reynolds Landing but also Reynolds Plantation. Lake Oconee, the 2nd largest lake in Georgia, is packed with world class golf and a slew of water activities including swimming, skiing, tubing and fishing. I have caught untold number of fish from my Dock and you will often see Bass Fishermen lingering in the cove looking for the big catch. The local marina rents boats and jet skis which can certainly be parked at my private dock for your stay. A short drive, one can visit the beautiful antebellum towns of Madison, Greensboro and Eatonton to sightsee and antique shop.
