Fantastic Apartment!!

  • 5 of 5

In August 2009 my family and I enjoyed our stay at this wonderful ground floor apartment. The facilities and location where fabulous for our family of four and we really enjoyed our time in Dunfermline. Our young boys loved the surrounding parks and having the 24 hour Tesco just down the road was fantastic for whipping up meals.

The apartment was modern, very clean and had everything we needed for our week long stay. We were travelling with our baby and 7 year old son who both loved the apartment. Our babies needs were well looked after with the use of a porta cot and high chair. The apartment is located on the ground floor and has no stairs which is wonderful when travelling with kids.

The Apartment is in a great location for exploring Fife and Edinburgh. The local train staion is around 10 minutes drive form the apartment and the trains to Edinburgh were frequent and hasle free.

We would highly recommend this wonderful apartment and would like to thank the owners for a wonderful week in Dunfermline

Fantastic Ground floor flat

  • 5 of 5

I cannot fault the accommodation or the service we received from Gwen and the property owners. The flat has a warm and homely feel and is furnished very well. We have stayed in lots of self catering apartments and this is the best one by far! Thank you very much for accommodating our needs and I hope we will return on future visits to Scotland.

Wonderful appartment

  • 4 of 5

The flat was just wonderful.. Especially the mattresses in the beds were very comfy and the whole flat was very modern. Also the kitchen was well equipped. We were at dunfermline, a very beautiful little town and often we visited edinburgh. We had no car and still this flat was good to stay at because we could do everything by feet because the train station as well as tesco, aldi etc are in walking distance. The walk to town was a bit longer but still manageable. Also the welcome was very nice. We liked that we met Steve because it is more personal than just arriving at a flat and having a code for the key.We enjoyed our stay very much and the only thing why we "only" give 4 out of 5 is because sometimes in the mornings it was a little bit too light in the bedrooms. We can only reccommend this appartment and we are definitly planning on coming back.

Almost perfect!

  • 4 of 5

A really lovely, modern apartment. Ideally located and in a very nice area with plenty of restaurants/shops around. Spotlessly clean and really looked after. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Stephen was really very helpful, told us about the Indian restaurant up the road and he was right, it was brilliant! Only a couple of things that could be improved on to make it a really perfect place, the mattresses on the beds need replacing - they weren't very comfortable at all and a mirror next to a plug in the smaller bedroom to enable drying your hair. Happy to recommend this place to all and hope to come back for another stay soon.

Owner's Response: Thank you very much for your lovely review of my property. I am glad you enjoyed your stay and found our meet and greet service to be very helpful. Steve receives many compliments from our guests but he was delighted when I told him. The Indian restaurant is a becoming a bit of a legend in Dunfermline. I am quite jealous that I do not spend more time in the town to enjoy it. Thank you also for your suggestions. I do hope you will come back again, you will certainly be very welcome.

Lovely flat

  • 5 of 5

My family was very pleased we chose this flat in Dunfermline. The flat is very new and is so well furnished it looks as if it were a show flat; The layout was very spacious and comfortable. Across the road from the flat is a large park with walks and a playpark. The area was quiet yet is a couple of minutes from a large 24 hour supermarket. It is also 3 minutes from the Leisure Park which has a number of restaurants, cinema, bowling and adventure golf. The motorway exit is at this park with good links to Perth and Edinburgh, This flat is out of the town and although there are bus links it is best to have a car. There is a free residents car park outside the flat. We hope to stay again.

Notes:
The apartment is situated on the ground floor with direct access from the parking area. A parking space is allocated to the apartment. We have a built in alarm system and smoke alarm. Our interior designer has made every effort to create a luxurious yet comfortable interior for our guests . The property is very spacious and bright with both the bedrooms and the lounge being south facing. During the spring of 2013 we have installed a hardwood floor in the entrance hall and high comfort John Lewis mattresses in both bedrooms. The apartment is surrounded by manicured communal gardens of grass and shrubs. It is located in a very quiet residential area among detached and semi detached private properties. Directly opposite the park with lovely walks and only a short distance from Tesco, local shops, bars and restaurants. A bus service passes by and there is a circular route which goes to the town centre giving easy access to the historic quarter and high street shops.
