Girdwood is a short, 35-minute drive from Anchorage along the picturesque Turnagain Arm. The valley is full of glaciers, mountains, streams, and trails.
Alyeska’s six chair lifts (two high speed quads) and one tram, and two Magic Carpets. The tram stops about ¾ of the way up the mountain at the mid-mountain facility with a cafeteria and the 4-star Seven Glaciers Restaurant and bar with amazing views of the inlet and the surrounding mountains. Alyeska Resort caters to all levels of skiers and riders with 1,400 skiable acres, 73 named trails and over 650' of snow annually November - May.

From a leisurely stroll to a several hour hike up the new North Face trail, to picking blueberries under the midnight sun, Girdwood offers numerous ways to enjoy the outdoors.
A great paved trail with no roadway crossings runs 13 miles from Girdwood to Bird adjacent to the waters of the Turnagain Arm, and immediately below the surrounding mountains offering sweeping inlet views. The paved trail continues into and throughout the town of Girdwood.
We currently live in Anchorage and try to enjoy this condo whenever we can. It's a great place to get away from it all and enjoy some beautiful scenery.
Stephanie Morales purchased this condo in 2011
Stephanie was great to work with and the property was just what we wanted.
This condo is beautiful and the pictures do not do it justice! Spacious, clean, comfortable.
Difficult to find despite Homeaway Ap but a lovely location when we got there. Ground floor an advantage as one of our travelers was lame. Clean, spacious, modern, with full kitchen although we did eat out in the evening. Can walk to the village. Stephanie was very helpful and notified us that cleaning staff found clothes after we left. She bought these to our Anchorage Hotel 8 days later which we appreciated. A good location and would recommend as a comfortable place to stay in Girdwood. Also recommend booking at Jack Sprat restaurant as it was very full. Unfortunately it was raining so never got the opportunity to see the views from the tram ride.
We stayed July 6 and July 7. This condo was a great starting point for our Alaskan trip. Close to Whittier where we took a Glacier Trip and also close to Anchorage for a bike ride the next day. The condo is very clean and had everything we needed. Stephanie was very helpful. I would recommend this condo.
We visited Girdwood in summer time and only for a quick overnight so this condo worked out well for us. We didn't use the kitchen as we ended up at the Sitzmark until late and had an early departure. The master bedroom was fairly large but we didn't take advantage of the gas fireplace. The second bedroom has a bunk bed and was a bit of a squeeze for the other couple but it worked out. The bathroom was nice too. I think it was recently done.
The location is perfect. We hiked from the condo to the tram, took the tram up and then hiked down. We came out right by the Sitzmark and our condo. It really is ski/ski out! The lifts were right out back. It was also very close to The Bake Shop, which had some tasty breakfast for us.
I would recommend this place for someone looking for a place close to the lifts at the resort.
Great location/great condo. The pictures don't do it justice--it is large, well equipped and charming. It is right at the base of the mountain with super easy access to everything you want--fun restaurant/bar (Sitzmark), great breakfast joint (Bake Shop) and hiking/biking trails. We wish we could have stayed longer. Thanks!
