Overview

About the property

We have a beautiful home available in Central-West Boulder at the corner of 7th and Pleasant Street. We are about five blocks from Pearl Street, two blocks from hiking on Flagstaff Mountain, and a short walk to the University of Colorado. The house is stone downstairs, with a huge fireplace and a central room for hanging out with a large television, piano, and view over a garden lot to the east.

Bedrooms: The house has three bedrooms upstairs: two with queen beds another with a full-sized bed. We also have a study downstairs with a full-sized loft futon and adjoining bathroom.

Bathrooms: One full-bathroom upstairs, and one bathroom with a shower near the loft downstairs.

Other Things: The house is child-friendly. However, be advised we do have open stairs if you have little ones. You are welcome to use our bikes, scooters, and basketball hoop. We also have a private patio with a gas grill that looks out onto an undeveloped lot with a mature garden. It is a charming place for entertaining and hanging out day or night (we have lights and outdoor heaters).

Rates: We generally have a four-night minimum and will have slightly higher rates for high demand times (holidays, graduation, etc.). We offer 10% discount for stays of 7 days or more.

Comfortable stay in the stone abode

  • 5 of 5

Our stay in this extraordinary home was so comfortable, and the hosting was exemplary. Jeff and Colleen checked in with us both before and during our stay, and they were so friendly and welcoming. We loved the stone, wood, and style of the house, the peaceful experience inside, and the presence of musical instruments.

Great location, plenty of room, quiet Boulder street. Stayed for a week and a half.

We really enjoyed our time here. Plenty of space for the kids. The patio is perfect in the morning. Bike, park, and path are right there.

Great Boulder Getaway! Would stay here again!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at the Boulder Stone Abode. The home is eclectic and there are many alcoves where you can find peace and quiet. The home is equipped with everything you need for your stay, and there are clear instructions on how to use all the appliances. We relaxed on the patio each morning and evening. It was a short walk to downtown Boulder, the Campus and the Hill. The Canyon Trail and the Chautauqua Trail-head were also a short walk away. Our son visited with a friend for several days and they were able to walk to/from the downtown Boulder bus station to get to the Rockies games each day. The owners were friendly and responsive from the moment we showed interest through the end of our stay. They were proactive and informed us a few days before our stay that the hot water heater had just broke and they were replacing it. When it wasn't ready the day we arrived, they refunded our first day's rent before we even asked. They had also just recently installed central air, which came in handy as the temps were in the high nineties the week we were there. We had a great stay and would definitely do it again.

Everything about this home is charming and welcoming including the hosts. We arrived to a very nice note from the owners welcoming us. The house was very clean and stocked with everything you'd need. I highly recommend staying here if you are in boulder.

Awesome Country House In Boulder

  • 5 of 5

We spent a long weekend in Boulder with our kids and this house was an amazing find! Although you are situated in Boulder, it felt like we were in the country. We even saw a bear one evening! Excellent neighborhood, walking distance to Pearl Street, CU Campus and the river. The house is really charming and spacious and the kitchen was set up for entertaining. Will rent this spot again!

A great location but uncomfortable living

  • 3 of 5

This is a good place to stay for a young family. It is close to shops and hiking and the University. There were six people in our party, including a teenager and two senior citizens. We were there for a family reunion. The kitchen was well stocked but only accommodated two people at a time, max. The stairs to get to the bedrooms were steep and difficult to manage for the older members of our party. Three people in our party agreed that the beds were very uncomfortable, more like futons because they needed box springs. The furniture in the living room was also such that it was uncomfortable to sit for any length of time. We enjoyed the grill and the outdoor area off the main floor. The owners were easy to work with.

Owner's Response: Hello So sorry you didn't have a 5-star experience! You're the first person in seven years! We work extremely hard to make everyone's stay special, and we have never had a complaint about steep stairs or beds (all of which have relatively new mattresses). We hope you enjoyed the bikes, tree house, complimentary gourmet coffee and wine -- and we wish you the best in your future travels! Best, Colleen and Jeff

Car: not necessary

We have a beautiful home available in Central-West Boulder at the corner of 7th and Pleasant Street. We are about five blocks from Pearl Street, two blocks from hiking on Flagstaff Mountain, and five blocks to the University of Colorado. The house is stone downstairs, with a huge fireplace in the living room which adjoins the dining area and kitchen. Off of the living room, large french doors lead to an outdoor patio overlooking a wooded lot. As insects are sparse in Colorado, we keep the doors open much of the summer for an outdoor living space.

The house has central air conditioning and a tank-less water heater for endless showers.

We have a basketball hoop, bikes and scooters for your use, as well as a private loft bedroom downstairs with an x-box. We also have a huge tree house where our kids have often slept in the summer months!

We love being able to walk to Pearl Street, Boulder Creek, the Hill and CU campus, and, most of all, the foothills hiking trails!
