Vacation in the tree tops on exclusive Starkey Pointe in this beautiful modern home on Lake Arcadia, featuring direct access to Lake Michigan. The main living level is on the second floor, giving a view of both lakes! The living room features three Hancock & Moore leather sofas and a beautiful custom wool rug. Dine with a lakeside view on two teak tables with ten comfortable newly upholstered dining chairs. The lakeside downstairs bedroom features both a queen and twin bed plus houses a library of over 100 books for your reading pleasure. Enjoy a half bath on this level with a washer and dryer. You'll enjoy individual visiting areas on any of the 4 exterior decks surrounding the home. Or, grill and eat outside on the upper lakeside deck as you lounge in the comfy outside furniture or enjoy the swing. We have supplied the home with all you'll need in order to make this a stress free vacation! Just bring your own towels and you'll be ready to relax! 100 feet of sandy beach is in front of you for swimming or tanning! Or, walk 5 minutes south down the private road to enjoy the private Lake Michigan beach lot next to the channel which is available for your use, complete with a sweet gazebo for picnics.
Three marinas are within walking distance for guests arriving with larger boats. No boats are included with the rental but rent or bring your own kayak, canoe or speed boat and beach them on the shore or tie your speed boat to the 30 foot dock that is on the property's beach. And you must swim out to or boat over the remains of a section of the Minnehaha, a large vessel which sank in the late 1890's. It is located just north of the channel in Lake Michigan in about 5 feet of water and 300 feet off shore!
Enjoy the small village of Arcadia as you explore the three parks with children's play equipment, the public beach, or the community center and library. You will find a great gift shop and ice cream store with that special small town flavor.

Our family built this fabulous home on Lake Arcadia in 1983. Our family enjoys spending time here every year as the children gather from all over the country to reconnect!
Bonnie Burke purchased this house in 1983
Nestled in the trees, you'll love the sunlight and great views of both lakes, as well as the four wooden decks which provide comfortable areas for congregating!
Arcadia is an undiscovered marvel. This small town is full of charm. Golf at the fabulous Arcadia Bluffs just two miles away or visit Manistee or Frankfort in minutes! You'll want to see the remains of part of the Minnehaha in only 5 feet of water right off the channel and out only 200 feet! Factor in a visit to inspiration point, berry picking, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Interlochen Music Camp, boating, swimming and shopping!
Tree Top Living was perfect for our three generation family of eight. It is spacious and furnished with
appealing and comfortable furniture - a great place just to hang out but also ideally situated between two beautiful lakes. The kitchen had everything possible that we needed which was good as we all enjoy cooking and dined in most nights. The decks are a huge plus and the views from decks and windows are gorgeous - at all times of day & twilight. We enjoyed both lakes and celebrated the nightly sunset on the beach. We were all wowed by the natural beauty of Northern Michigan. We really loved our stay and would gladly return in a future year. High recommended.
Over the years we have stayed at many homes in beautiful settings along the shores of small lakes, rivers, and the ocean, but none can compare to the perfection of our July 2012 stay at "Treetops." This luxuriously appointed home has the best ambience of them all, located between a quiet, tree-lined lane and beautiful Arcadia Lake. One need only convince one's self to vacate the restful view from the upper deck or lower porch to walk, kayak, or canoe a short distance 'round the point for Lake Michigan at its most scenic. Just to the north lie the tall bluffs of Inspiration Point and miles of clean sand beach to walk. Boat watching on Arcadia Lake is endlessly entertaining. And, speaking of entertaining, "Treetops" is equipped with everything one needs to host friends or family in fine style. There are plenty of comfy beds from which to choose and abundant hot water for showers and laundering those beach towels. After a day spent on the water, we prepared and enjoyed a sumptuous feast of lake fish, produce, and fruit (all locally caught or grown) in the well appointed kitchen. On our next visit, we will rent "Treetops" for a longer stay, just to hang onto the ambience of pure vacation rest we gained while there. (We'd even be pleased for a few rainy days next time to keep us indoors, curled up with a good book or watching TV, so we could pretend this was HOME.) There is so much to do in the area. Exploring Traverse City, the Leelanau Peninsula, the Interlochen Center for the Arts, Sleeping Bear Dunes, or any of the many fine golf courses only begins the list of possibilities when you make "Treetops" your home base.
Everything was great at Treetops living. Accurate description. included all ammenities and was well taken care of. Owner was helpful and answered any questions. We stayed here for a golf weekend with a group to play Arcadia Bluffs. Weather was subpar but that is a risk for michigan in october, however, great open living area was able to accomodate all of us with great views. I would reccomend this cabin to anyone.
Ideally located on a peninsula, between Lake Michigan and inland Arcadia Lake, this cottage has the best of both. Association Lake Michigan beach access is convenient and the deck view of Arcadia Lake is beautiful. Nicely equipped Kitchen and comfortable bedrooms. Discovering and kayaking out to the Lake Mi. shipwreck was great fun.
