Homeowners John Gorski and Sue Hakes welcome you to GO FISHouse!
My husband, John Gorski, is all smiles as we pull out of Jug Creek and into Charlotte Harbor for a day of fishing. John and I live in the beautiful harbor town of Grand Marais, MN on the North Shore of Lake Superior. Spending time on the the water surrounding Pine Island is a wonderful break from cold winters.
Sue Hakes purchased this townhome in 2011
John and I searched long and hard for a vacation property that met both of our needs. John needed good fishing and a roof over his head. I needed a place with a sense of community and a swimming pool. We both wanted a warm climate to provide a break from cold MN winters! We both knew immediately that this was the place for us!
Great fishing, great sense of community, swimming pool, easy access to beaches, good restaurants, fabulous view, quiet neighborhood, easy acess to both Pine Island Sound and Charlotte Harbor, no high rises, public library, screen porch, close to Minnesota Twins spring training, not too big, not too small, on the water, private dock with boat lift, sweet view, wildlife.

Pine Island is located just 30 minutes from Ft. Myers in a world of its own. Mostly surrounded by mangroves, Pine Island's center is basically agricultural so the island is quiet and sparsely populated. Bokeelia is on the northern end of Pine Island with quick access to amazing fishing in Pine Island Sound or Charlotte Harbor, good seafood restaurants, wonderful walking and biking trails, and beautiful Florida vegetation. By boat, you can explore the beaches of Cayo Costa, North Captiva and Boca Grande. A short distance by car are attractions such as the historic fishing village of Matlacha, Thomas Edison and Henry Ford's winter estates in Ft. Myers, and major league baseball spring training games for the Minnesota Twins or the Boston Red Sox.
