Experience Colorado's best kept secret! Enjoy a wonderful small town experience in Georgetown. John Denver used to film his Christmas specials in town.
Two king size beds along with six twin beds makes this home great for two families. The kitchen is well equipped that includes a Viking 6 burner stove.
Situated near Guanella Pass, activities are endless. Fishing, hiking, jeeping and skiing are nearby for your convenience.
Take a walk downtown to Cake for a cupcake or head over to Anderson's market for European delights in an old fashioned setting.
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home! We all had an awesome vacation.-Via guestbook, Emry Family
Lots of room to spread out. We had 2 couples, a grandma and 5 kids 3-8 years old. The kitchen was awesome and dinning area works very well. Plenty of Linens and towels. The washer was handy too. The yard was cute but we couldn't get the open all the way for the grass was tall.
Watch out for the stairs... They are very steep and have a narrow turn. Ok for the tiny feet. The twin mattresses where not comfortable for grandma... But no complaints from the kidos. Tall people showered downstairs as the upper spigot is low. Wished we'd brought a night light for the top of the stairs.
My family loves to play games together while some of the older members will listen to music. The living room encourages togetherness and it flows into the kitchen. We all can enjoy dinner together because the Viking stove is there. This was our second spring break together here and we all left hoping to come again. The proximity to Ski Loveland is preferred since we don't have to go through the tunnels on I-70. This year's snow was the best we've had. All the kids even played outside in it after we got home from skiing. Amazing!
We had a reunion with old friends in town and loved this house and the town. It was old, but well cared for and charming. The old mill next door had me worried when I looked online, but was really cool once we saw it. We had 4 adults and 6 kids all stay comfortably, there was plenty of indoor and outdoor space. We loved the back yard and kitchen the most. There were games and movies for kids, and the creek and trail near by. We walked down to the park and down town multiple days. If we come back to town we would definitely stay here again.
I would recommend the owners clean out the pantry and invest in a few more pans... we had hoped to make brownies and lasagna and there were no 8x8 or 9x13 pans or dishes that we could find. There were plenty of everything else. Also would ask that they have doors that latch and lock up stairs.
We had a wonderful time staying at this property. The town is quaint and historic as is the house. The kitchen is great for gathering, and the owners have it well stocked. We would definitely stay here again.
We were only in town for a few days skiing and this was exactly what we needed. The kitchen was big enough to cook for and feed ten guys, especially withe the huge range to cook on, I think the range griddle makes about a PBPM (pound of bacon per minute)! Sleeping was a bit tight but we were pushing the limits of bed capacity and a few slept on the couch anyway. Great place and I would go there again if the wind blew me that way again. The owners always responded back to book the place and they were pleasant to talk to.
We had come here last year on a ski trip with 4 dads and their kids. It worked perfectly for us: nice, roomy, comfy and convenient. The kitchen is really well-appointed and well stocked. We did it again this year.
