About the property

We love our beautiful ground floor unit at Kona Isle. Step out from the lanai onto the lovely grounds and you are but a few steps from the heated pool and the lovely beach with its BBQ area and gorgeous view. There are lounge chairs and tables on the beach where you can sit and relax while you read a book, or take in the spectacular scenery. Watch the sunset each night with your favorite “glass” while you BBQ fresh fish and enjoy the aloha spirit of this beautiful island. There is a salt water pool adjacent to the property for your enjoyment. The property has a library where you can get a book from the vast selection to read while you relax.

We have had "ooos and aaaas" and "it is georgeous" in our remodeled condo. We want you to love our "home away from home" as much as we do. We have had the bathroom completely redone in 2015, and the kitchen was redone in 2016. The pictures on our site show the condo just as it looks. We are now here in January 2018 and have again done our deep cleaning, checking items to make sure they are in good condition, done a little painting and our big project this year was to purchase a new washer/dryer, had a couch with Hawaiian print made, and purchased new rugs to match. Every time we are here, we upgrade our condo a little more. Mike and I love this piece of paradise and we are sure you will also. Mahalo for visiting our site and enjoy your stay!

About Betty & Mike Mount

Mike and I are retired and we live in San Jose, CA, but when we are here, it is our home away from home. Mike was a teacher in middle school and a software engineer. I worked in an elementary school for twenty plus years. Now that we are retired, we come to our condo every year to enjoy the beautiful island and to make sure everything we would want in a condo is available to our guests. We appreciate the feedback we get from our visitors and implement their suggestions.

Why Betty & Mike Mount chose Kailua-Kona

We first visited the Big Island New Year's in the 80's and we loved it. I love looking at properties, just to look, and we would; when we visited. In 2000, just before leaving Kona, an agent took us to Kona Isle.

The instant we saw the beautiful well manicured grounds, we fell in love with Kona Isle. We purchased a ground floor unit which enables you to walk out without walking down stairs. This is a plus because we are constantly going to the pool, or beach and we are right there. Kona Isle is close enough to town (just over a mile) to walk each morning while enjoying the beautiful weather. It is close to everything, restaurants, shopping, churches, beaches. Approximately 10 miles to the airport, and activities abound.

Simply Awesome!

This unit is perfect! It was well stocked with amenities necessary for a tropical location such as sunscreen, coolers, beach chairs, etc! The location is perfect; about a mile south of shopping, restaurants, grocery stores and minutes from the airport! Re-modeled kitchen and bathroom are beautiful! All rooms have fans plus AC but I found I didn't need to use it as fans provided more than enough cool air. Fantastic BBQ area that provided picturesque views of sunsets! I would stay here again and highly recommend this condo. Mahalo!

Excellent! Loved the ocean front park area for having meals and watching the sunset!

Excellent place to stay for vacations! The condo was exceptional! Everything that we needed for our day trips we found in the condo! All we had to do was pack a picnic! We even found ice chests and a bag for packing the picnic in!

Mika and Betty were awesome in helping make our vacation so stress free! They responded rapidly to booking inquiries as well as sent rapid booking confirmation with checkin information. They also responded rapidly to questions that we had while on vacations!

clean efficient and well provisioned home away from home

This was our 4th trip to the Big Island and we always pick Kona Isle for our lodging. We have stayed in different condos but enjoy the ground floor condos more so now. I like the convenience of walking out from the lani to the various places I enjoy on the property. This was our first time in Mike and Betty's condo. We couldn't have been happier. My first gratitude was that there was TP, laundry soap and dryer sheets, dish soap and a nice assortment of common pantry items to get you started.

We happened to arrive within days of the AC dying, and was really impressed at how responsive Mike was. Within a day a new AC was installed. Everything we could need in the way of coolers, beach towels,

an abundance of necessary linens available. Coffee maker, tea pot. A good supply of cooking tools and equipment. Washer Dryer worked great. A Comfortable garden facing condo I would reserve again.

My only wish list item would be a better quality bed sheeting. I'm use to a higher thread count and would bring my own king sheets next time. We had a wonderful 3 weeks. The grounds are beautifully kept. Manager Brian is always moving decisively through his day about the property. Was really nice to see he was still managing (we haven't been back in 10 years) The neighbors are friendly and welcoming. We BBQ'd

on the grills many nights. Had great citing of a pod of spinner dolphins from the beach chairs and lovely sunsets. Hope to be back more often in the future. Ma halo Mike and Betty for our stay. Doug and Diana Smith

C 4 at Kona Isle is the perfect place to stay!

Thank you Betty and Mike for providing such a lovely, clean, well appointed condo at Kona Isle! This is a great ground floor unit, with easy access to the pool, beach and bbq area. The remodeled bath and kitchen are nicely done. You will not lack for utensils, appliances and other homey touches. Betty and Mike have done a great job making their condo a little home away from home.

We have much appreciated the very pleasant communication with the owners. Can't say enough about how helpful and kind they have been.

We highly recommend C 4 to anyone looking for a hidden gem in Kona.

Everything you need or want for a great stay

This is a very comfortable apartment in a great complex. It is very well supplied, including with kitchen equipment, beach towels, coolers etc. The king sized bed is comfortable and the whole complex is very quiet and relaxed. The hosts were very good to deal with and responded immediately to the few small issues that came up through the booking process and during my stay. They make you feel welcome and seem happy to share their much loved place with you.

We have guide books in our condo so you can plan your days here. There is never a lack of things to do or to see. You can try one of the many excursions offered, go to a luau, deep sea fishing, championship golf, tour the Hulihe Palace, visit the old churches, see the petroglyphs, snorkel in the beautiful clear waters, visit the old towns, and of course spend a day visiting Volcano National Park and learn about the ever changing path of the volcano. There are so many things to do and see, you will have to come back again and again. Do not forget the wonderful restaurants in and around Kona, and there are many. Mike and I will be very happy to share our favorites with you.
