It has a great location - walking distance to the Fort, the Lighthouse, the Crossings and the Ferry Docks.
This cottage is very economical and a perfect solution for those guests that want a comfortable stay, the privacy of their own cottage and the ability to prepare meals in the adorable kitchen! You can also relax on the spacious screened-in porch or enjoy a nice campfire.
We loved this cute cottage! Within walking distance to pretty much everything. Great screened in porch and firepit. Very relaxing!
Clean residential area within easy walking distance to beach and town. Very peaceful and quiet. Screened in porch was a plus and was enjoyed for morning coffee and evening relaxation.
This rental was very nice. It was just the perfect size for a couple. It was very cozy. It was fun to look at the book the owners put together of what the place looked like before the renovation. A huge change for the better.
The cottage was exactly as pictured and quite charming. My husband and I stayed there for a weekend away. It has room for four but unless those extra 2 were kids? I would think it could be pretty tight. Very clean and comfortable -- had everything we could need and plenty of great recommendations for what to do and see.
My husband and I stayed at the Macatawa Cottage for our 39th wedding anniversary and this was the absolute BEST getaway we have had in 39 years!! From the minute we walked in to the very clean, very cute, very cozy cottage I knew we had found a keeper. We totally relaxed and absolutely loved every minute we were there. We didn't want to leave when Sunday morning rolled around. We will be back!
Our visit got off to a little bit of a late start as there was a small plumbing issue (toilet just needed a new seal) that the maintenance person was already working on when we arrived. Once it was fixed and we were able to check in, we had a really great long weekend. We did not bring our favorite pillows and ended up buying pillows nearby but that's a personal preference, I think. We weren't sure which grill to use and the same maintenance person was there at a different unit and was extremely nice, friendly and helpful to us. We really loved the screened in porch and fire pit area. Wifi was helpful too, we looked up the nearby attractions and activities on our laptop.
We visited Mackinac Island, the U.P. and some of the nearby parks, including the Dark Sky park and sunset park. We got some awesome sunset pictures on our last night there. It was a very peaceful and relaxing weekend - just what we were looking for!!
The property was clean and looks exactly like the pictures. The management and maintenance person were both helpful and we would definitely recommend staying here. I also really liked that you do not have to rent the cottages for an entire week at a time, as we like to take long weekends away instead of one big trip.
