Great price-value, perfect location and the best hosts!

  • 4 of 5

The apartment is situated on 5 to 20 minutes walking from every popular touristic spot and higlights in Florence. In the same time it's not in the super-crowded area of the city.

We arrived in Florence by train and had a 10-15 minuted walk to the apartment. It's really close and convenient. We were met there by Ferdinando and his wife. They are the nicest hosts I have met and I really have big experience going to apartment-type of accomodation (airbnb, vrbo, etc.). You can rely on them for anything. Ferdinando gave us a thorough travel guide lecture on Florence and its history, which helped us a lot. I had been there two times before that, but still he gave me new insights and helped with ideas about good places to eat and snack in town, which was something very hard to find during my previous stay in Florence in other apartments/hosts.

The apartment itself is very clean and pleasant. It reminds of a real home and is provided with all the basic appliances you might need. It also has a small balcony with a table and chairs to sit with your company for a coffee or a glass of proseco :)

There is a big supermarket close to it and a few of the best coffee places around it - really cheap and great coffee and atmosphere.

Very nice authentic apartment, excellent hosts

  • 5 of 5

The apartment is in an old building from XV cent. (as all in the city center), but comfortable, most spacious than it looks on pictures and has everything you may need for a week or two. Has separate bedroom and a living room that is separated with a glazed door from kitchen and with curtains from the corridor. So we had a good privacy and sleep for our teen-aged son even when we had to use the kitchen earlier in the morning. Apartment is clean and has a nice small terrace to тхе inner court. It is close or walking distance to almost everything you might like to visit in Florence. Area is very nice, two big churches with nice squares nearby. The only downside could be that the bedroom looks to a bit noisy narrow street. So if in hot summer you need to open the window to sleep I suppose it could be inconvenient. But in April it was OK to close it at night and we were not disturbed at all.

Ferdinando and his wife are excellent, kind and intelligent hosts. Ferdinando met us at the the railway station late in the evening and took us to the apartment (10-15 min. walking distance), explained us a lot of interesting things about the city, the area and the building - such thing you can't read in internet and books :). He gave us so many valuable ideas and advises, so we were ready for even longer stay than 7 days.

We are very grateful to him for all his kindness and not the last - for the possibility to leave our suitcases till afternoon on the last day (and for the bottle of wine he welcomed us with).

Thank you Ferdinando and hope to see you again.

Perfect for long or short stays

  • 5 of 5

A near-perfect apartment close to the centre of Florence within easy walking distance of everything. Only two flights of stairs up and they are very well lit. The apartment is very clean, very spacious and quiet, and has everything including basic condiments for cooking. The bedroom windows open on to the street but double glazing keeps most of the street noise out. And the main living area with two daybeds is totally silent. Tile floors keep the apartment pleasantly cool even in the heat (there is a large portable fan but we didn't need it), and there is a small covered balcony off the kitchen overlooking a little courtyard, where it is lovely to sit out sheltered from heavy rain or hot sun. We also really appreciated the generous eat-in kitchen.

There is hot water area heating but it was off by the time we arrived, and hot water for the sinks and shower is the on-demand type. If the shower seems to run out of heat or pressure (tip - don't flush the toilet during a shower!) just turn it off and turn the kitchen hot tap full on; you'll hear the heater and pump turn back on again.

The owner was a wonderful and accommodating host; he wasn't there when we arrived but he had arranged for a friend to show us everything.

We stayed here for 9 days in May-June and would certainly return. Thanks, Ferdinando!

We had just three days in Florence and this apartment was great. The owner met us and explained things. We had to contact him about the hot water, but it turned out that it was a switch that neither he nor we knew about. It is a large apartment that is nicely outfitted and in a nice area. We'd stay there again if we were back in Florence. Highly recommended. Enjoyed the conversations, Ferdinando. Thanks for the hospitality, Jim & Terry.

Best Apartment While in Europe

  • 5 of 5

We actually stayed here in May of 2014 but I haven't written a review until I was looking this apartment up for our next trip to Florence. This was our favorite place to stay in all of Europe. The apartment is amazing, pictures really don't do it justice. The location is fabulous because it's quite and safe yet right in the center of everything. The owner was so charming and helpful. HIGHLY recommend.
