Hello! Thank you and welcome to browse my vacation home. My name is Ranjit Hundal. Kent Island is a beautiful location for fishing, kayaking, boating, golfing and relaxing inside a beautiful waterfront home. Kent Island also has great sea food restaurants in the area. The area boasts great biking trails and walking paths which cross the islandwood bridge next to Swan Park. This is a great vacation home and hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Kick back and relax at beautiful Kent Island, MD.
Ranjit Hundal purchased this condo in 2009
Went there for a fishing trip. The place was really nice inside had great views from rear deck. Never been to kent island but I will be back. Water out back was waist high I was out pretty far. Close to restaurants bars about mile away they were good supermarket was about 2 miles away. Fishing was good got three rock fish and 8 blue fish on a boat House was clean very quite area also . Can't go wrong with this house. If you plan on eating in house there wasn't enough of plates etc i didn't so I didn't care. I fix there vacuum that was clogged by filter so that works now again no big deal. Over all great stay
A friend booked this location for a weekend getaway. The facilities themselves are great, the construction is new-ish and there's a nice grassy lawn good for lounging and walking right into the water. Beds were comfy and it was decorated nicely. Location is wonderful, so close to restaurants and other Kent Island attractions. What is apparent though is that you're purely just renting the building and not a vacation rental. The property is up for public auction, and, while very clean, just had the bare minimum to support a visiting group. As others have posted, there weren't any large pots/pans that could support cooking a meal for more than 6. The cutlery and plates also were in that range. That's fine since the beds technically sleep 8. What I was surprised by was the lack of hand soap, back up paper goods like toilet paper and paper towels, and no cutting boards. Some of the bedrooms on the upper floor are haven to ants - harmless, but good to know. Wi-fi is a crawl, so don't stream anything. All small things, but just points to the level of care being given to this property. It's reasonably priced and our group had a good time, so book with confidence, but it's just good to know what to bring to be prepared.
Property was very good overall. It was very beautifully decorated and comfortably furnished. There was definitely enough room for all of us (8 adults and 1 baby). As many other people noted, the kitchen was not well furnished. More dinner plates and perhaps one big cooking pot would be appreciated. A large dinner table on the deck would also be a nice addition.
However, my biggest concern was that one of the large glass panels in the exterior railing was lying on the deck instead of being inserted in the railing and no one even came out to look at it or fix it even after I called several times and was told the second day of our stay that someone would be there 'that afternoon' (no one ever came). Given that we had a baby crawling around this made me incredibly nervous.
Overall, however, we enjoyed our stay. Property was as advertised and is in a great location (if you have a car) - about 20 minutes from downtown Annapolis! If the owner could address a few minor issues this would definitely be a 5-star property!
This house is lovely and roomy and in a beautiful location. There were five adults and a child in our party but there were only 4 large plates which made it difficult at meal times. There was also a distinct lack of a kettle for us tea-drinking English folk! These were all just niggles, the most worrying thing which meant I cannot give anything better than a good rating is the fact that one of the panels fell out of the balcony which meant it was a hazard for my toddling granddaughter! Although someone came out to look at it and said it was no problem to fix, it was never fixed in the remaining 9 days of our holiday.
This is not a property you would want to have without a car. We couldn't all fit into the hire car we had, and 2 of us did walk to restaurants and bars but it mostly wasn't a pleasant walk to these facilities and certainly we could not have picked up groceries without a car.
However, we did enjoy our stay and would recommend it for adults who have their own transport but it would be good if the owners better-equipped the property for those of us who don't want to eat out all of the time. The balcony would be perfect for dining alfresco but although there would have been ample room for having a table and chairs outside, there wasn't one provided.
We rented this unit and the one above it for a family wedding. Great location, beautiful unit and very quiet and relaxing on the porch. Lots of space for family to sit and enjoy private time or family time. Limited towels, pots, pans, dishes and utensils. Purchased paper plates and plastic silverware to get through the week. Problems with the master shower head; fixed it ourselves. Front door would not stay shut due to broken latch; fixed it ourselves. Master Bath had no cold water due to a faucet problem. Too much to do with a family wedding so did not call owner but did leave a note explaining the problems and hoping for a refund of the expenses incurred. Would recommend if you don't plan on cooking in the unit, bring towels and eat out!
Overall the condo was in great shape with up-to-date finishes. It was a good size for 8 people who were visiting from Kansas for a wedding, an amazing water front property, close to a lot of restaurants and attractions! I would definitely recommend this property!
