Angela purchased this house in 2012
We love the ocean views this property has as well as the proximity to the pier and great restaurants including Freddie's Italian. Kure beach is very laid back and friendly!
We love the spaciousness of the house and the room configuration which allows large crowds to have their own space. we also love the hardwood floors and granite kitchen counters!
Fantastic House...We loved it! 7 adults, 4 children, house couldn't be better. Thanks for all the extras to make it comfortable
We just completed a friends' reunion for 6 of us, and the house was perfect. Plenty of comfortable rooms and an extremely easy walk to the beach. It was great to have some amenities as well, including beach chairs, some beach toys, bikes, and a beach wagon. Would stay again!
We just completed our second stay at Worth the Wave and it has served our two families of 4 very well for a week away at the beach. We love that it is quieter than places we have stayed in Carolina Beach and you can't beat proximity to the beach! Angela and other owners are very attentive and nice to work with.
We have been coming to Kure Beach every year for over 15 years. "Worth the Wave" is one of the best houses we have stayed in! Our Family, 7 adults and 4 children, were all thrilled with the great setup of the house. We were all very comfortable and the house had everything we needed, and the house was very clean. The short walk to the beach was great and not an issue with small children. Sitting out on the deck in the evening was wonderful. The house is also very quiet, even with small children. We highly recommend this house.
I have an extended family which always used to go to camping for Memorial Day. This was our very first time at Kure Beach, and we loved it!!!!! We have 3 teenagers, and they had blast. We were looking for something calm but fun. This was the best option :). "Worth at Wave" gave us everything we looked for, amenities, plenty of rooms so girls will be ok. We enjoyed those decks with dinners, drinks, breakfast etc. The bikes were so good because kiddos were able to go around the area. Adults & teens were able to be together, and also have our own spaces. Walk distance to beach, amazing! Easy access to restaurants, shopping centers and attractions. In a simple word, Fantastic. We are going to return for Labor Day yay! We highly recommend this property if you are planing a vacation getaway with the family.
My extended family has been going to Kure Beach for over 30 years, and as the family has grown we've needed to rent additional cottages to make room for everyone. We've stayed at Worth the Wave each of the past 2 summers and are booked again for summer of 2015. We have 2 families plus one adult staying in the house very comfortably (5 adults, 5 kids).
The cottage feels new and is in great shape; we love the large kitchen/family room which has become a gathering spot in evenings after kids are in bed. The porches facing the ocean have great views, and the one on the back of the house is perfect for outdoor dining. The bikes, beach chairs and toys are a nice plus. We also appreciate the DVR because we like to record Wimbledon (tennis!) in the morning and watch later that evening.
I would highly recommend this property to anyone -- just not the week we need it!!
We stayed in Kure for the first time this summer at Worth the Wave. It was exactly what we needed with teenagers. We had plenty of room, and were able to have nice family dinners outside on the deck. It was so nice to have bikes, a grill, a wagon, and plenty of chairs and sand toys for the little ones. We were able to have drinks and coffee on the deck and balconies and see and hear the ocean. We had a blast going to Southport on the ferry, watching fireworks at the boardwalk, crab hunting by the pier, karaoke at Vinnie's, and eating dozens of Britt's doughnuts! The owners are wonderful people to work with, and I've already reserved my spot for next year. We LOVED it!
