About the property

Vintage apartment with all the modern amenities. Easy walk to everything downtown, coffee shops, restaurants, breweries, distilleries, shopping, everything is just a few blocks away. Quaint apartment with bedroom with wood floors, queen size bed. Large living room opens to dining area, the whole apartment has original stained wood trim. The kitchen is newer, has stove, microwave, stainless steel sink. Apartment also has a nice outdoor patio with table and chairs. Enjoy Colorado sunshine and Old Town!

About Janet Scott

We love Old Town and the wonderful ambiance of experiencing Fort Collins as it was in the early 1900's. We take stewardship of vintage properties seriously and strive to make them as current and pleasant as possible. We have lived in Fort Collins for a long time, I have lived in Colorado all of my life. We hope everyone enjoys our little slice of history when they stay in our vintage apartment.

Why Janet Scott chose Fort Collins

Fort Collins has always been a special place, the Old Town area is delightful for it's historic connection and now the current vibe of the breweries, restaurants and distilleries. We felt swayed towards the historic properties as we felt most connected to them. We feel they will always have a special place in time.

What makes this apartment unique

We loved the aspect that we could offer a property that was pleasantly updated yet so close to Old Town and the history that it offers. Although now it offers more than history, as it has grown into a mecca of restaurants and tons of things to do.

We had a wonderful time staying here and visiting Fort Collns. The 4th of July celebrations were perfect for families of all ages! The Mulberry community pool and visiting Rocky Mountain National Park were two highlights of our trip. We can't wait to visit again!

Cosy apartment in very convenient location

I was a visiting academic at CSU for nearly a month during Sept/Oct 2012, and stayed in this apartment throughout. It's a very cosy apartment in a really convenient location, just 4 blocks from Coopersmiths and all the other attractions in Old Town, and a couple of blocks from the CSU main campus. Restaurant 415 was 2 blocks away and a fantastic place for lunch or dinner.

The apartment is well furnished and has everything that a single person or couple would need for a comfortable stay (iincluding wifi, flatscreen TV and a DVD player). The kitchen and bathroom are VERY compact (!) but perfectly adequate. The heating made the place very cosy as the Fall weather got colder, and there was parking available on the road directly outside. Dave and Janet were also very helpful and sorted out a small issue with the apartment within 4 hours for me - great service ! Would recommend this as a good place to stay in Fort Collins.

Good downtown location. Can walk to all locations featured in the photo section.

We have no complaints whatsoever, however our feedback relates to omissions from the description. The exterior door that is shown here is not the door you enter in. In fact, there are several doors and we were unsure where to enter. The entry faces Remington, not Myrtle. (I was able to get ahold of Janet for this information.) We tried without any luck to turn the TV on, despite several failed attempts. (The DVDs were a nice touch.) Parking is a little tricky if you can't get in front of the house and you're hoping to load/unload. The house is at a very busy intersection; noise picks up early in the morning. There were fans to block some noise but if you're a real light sleeper it might be difficult for you. Again, we personally loved our stay; these are just some things to consider for the next traveler. Thank you for your consideration.

The pdf that is sent out ahead of time (two pages long) is pretty descriptive of accessing the apartment, I haven't actually had anyone ever mention not finding the door. Being in Old Town brings the excitement of being in the heart of the action, most guests love the location! As for the TV, I am always available to trouble shoot. I don't believe I got a call about the TV or I would have been glad to help get it figured out. There are directions in the apartment in a notebook, but occasionally a prior guest pushes a wrong button by mistake. I am always glad to try to help get things going right.

Property well kept, interior and exterior. Great location walking distance to Old Town, CSU college.

The only complaint's that I would share is replacing the toilet seat. The existing one does not stay fastened to the bowl. Also when in shower, there is no place to put your shampoo, soap etc. It should be noted that with the claw foot tub, a elderly person or persons would not be able to utilize the shower.

Love the little house

My family and I loved our stay at this house while in Fort Collins for the week. The house had everything we needed and was very very clean. The laundry on site was very convenient and the location to the old downtown area was perfect.

I appreciated the quick responses by Janet whenever I had a question during our stay. She was very helpful!

I would recommend this property to anyone, and if we come back to Fort Collins we would stay here again.

My one flaw that gave me a wicked sad face was that there was no gas-grill as seen in the house layout diagram. Janet gave me an explanation when I asked about it, but I did have a brief frown as I was expecting one.

All around, we loved our stay and this house made our visit to Fort Collins a great and memorable vacation!

Great Place to Stay.

We had a great time when we stayed here. It's a perfect walking distance from multiple bars, restaurants, shops, and entertainment. The place was very comfortable and clean.

The owner was quick to respond when we had questions and I would definitely stay here again.

Make sure you go eat at Snooze while you are here. It is an amazing breakfast place!

Just steps from the front door is a leisurely walk through the tree-lined CSU campus, with shops and quaint restaurants along Laurel Street. Coffee shops within 1 block on College Avenue. Stroll down to Old Town for a wide range of shopping, restaurants, festivals and street fairs, including the West Fest, Brewers Festival, Tour de Fat. Within biking distance are 6 fine breweries, which offer brewery tours and tasting rooms and some with eateries. For a wider range of activities, try rafting in the Poudre Canyon in the warm summers or cross country skiing in the winter. Fort Collins has a wide network of bike paths, and walking trails that can take you on a long adventure. Be sure to check out the many art galleries, museums and boutique shops. Summer provides a weekend of private art Studio Tours through the Lincoln Center programming. Visit as many private art studious as you want, over the weekend. The old Fort Collins High School has become the UCA or University Center for the Arts with many music, art events and plays. First Friday Art Walk is always fun, check the local paper for a map on each First Friday. The activities and events are endless in such a vibrant community as Fort Collins, it will provide a memorable trip. Also, guided fishing trips available to a series of private lakes, near Fort Collins, ask about rates, would be a fun time!
