The kitchen features stainless steel appliances and is well-equipped with a complete supply of cookware, dishes and cutlery. Small appliances include a toaster oven, a microwave and a Keurig coffee maker. After you have brewed your morning coffee, simply take a stroll through the French doors into the courtyard to sip your coffee and listen to the sounds of morning in New Orleans, which might include the horn of a paddle-wheeler making its way down the Mississippi a few blocks away!
And while you are in the courtyard, you might as well enjoy all of the amenities offered, sit around the fountain, throw some Louisiana shrimp on the grill or just relax on the outdoor furniture. It is so comfortable that you might not want to leave!
My husband and I are retired and live a few blocks away. We are always available to offer assistance and recommendations to ensure that our guest have a great experience in New Orleans!
' Laisser Les Bons Temps Rouler a la Maison Scott'.
We fell in love with New Orleans and particularly the Marigny area after my husband's work brought us here. We purchased this lovely home a couple of years ago to enjoy as a second home for guests and family. We now live in New Orleans permanently just a few blocks away from La Maison Scott, so when are guest require assistance we are always available.
We established La Maison Scott in hope to share our lovely get away with our guests.
Suzanne Scott purchased this house in 2011
A home away from home with a New Orleans flair. Location, location location..So nice to be walking distance to most attractions and not need a rental car.Although if you do have a car there is plenty of parking.Great neighborhood which offers our guests a real New Orleans experience..

We also have two 1 bedroom apartments nearby, equally as beautiful with similar amenities.

We loved our stay in this very confortable home! The location was perfect, close to Frenchman St, French Quarter and parks. After a long day of touring the city it was nice to come back to a relaxing quiet courtyard. The layout of the house was great for our family of six, linens and beds are extremely comfortable. We loved the large bright kitchen fully equipped to entertain.
Could not have asked for a better home to celebrate our anniversary !!
We highly recommend this home!!
We had a fantastic stay. Could not imagine a better place. The location was convenient. And the owner was very accessible and helpful. I would highly recommend this. I have stayed in many rentals and this ranks at the top.
The house was in a great location and very comfortably furnished - perfect for a family reunion to celebrate a 70th birthday weekend in New Orleans. The home has been lovingly restored and is beautifully decorated. Nice touches that let you know that you are in New Orleans tastefully. All three beds are very comfortable as well as the living room furniture. The wifi was great and we even got the wireless printer to work! The backyard has a gas grill and a lot of seating to enjoy the nice weather. Suzanne and Terry were very helpful with information before we arrived and after we got here. There is a lot of well organized information available on the desk as well as the most recent magazines to help you decide what to do as well. There is a cable car stop very close by and the $3 daily ticket is a great deal. The walk to the French Quater is easy and we found Uber very easy to use as well. Cabs charge an extra dollar for every extra person after one, so if you have a party of 3-4, we found that you will save money using Uber. We hope to be back and hope that this wonderful home is available for our use once again!
My family and I enjoyed our stay at Suzanne and Terry's place in New Orleans. We were pleasantly surprised to see how well stocked and equipped the kitchen was with spices, coffee, tea,and even a case of bottled water. Suzanne was very accommodating in allowing us to check in early and start our holiday escapade. She returned calls promptly and offered many good recommendations for restaurants and activities. The master bedroom upstairs is lovely but the steep and windy stairs could be a challenge. The two bedrooms on the main floor worked out fine for us even though the back bedroom access is through the first bedroom. If you need a break, enjoy the extensive DVD library. The location, which is in transition, is very convenient to both Frenchmen Street and the French Quarter. We walked everywhere.
This is one of the nicer VRBOs I have ever stayed at. There are no cramped bathrooms or bedrooms and all the mattresses are very comfortable. The water pressure is low (like pretty much all the houses in this area) so I do suggest that ladies take in to the shower, one of the extra large Go-Cups that can be found in the kitchen, to rinse those lovely locks. If you are looking at Google Maps and wondering about that bar 2 doors down, don't worry, they were great neighbors and we didn't hear them at all. There are great things to eat and do within walking distance. May I suggest St. Roch Market for lunch and Cafe Nero at Who Dat Cafe for breakfast?
Everyone enjoyed their stay at your lovely New Orleans home. We walked to near by restaurants & bars, very convenient location.
We appreciate you allowing our dogs to come along.
Just a suggestion... the upstairs mattress would benefit being rotated. Everything else was great!
George, Stephanie & Bentley too
We stayed here for our wedding week - it had everything we could have needed and more! Love the area, and that it's near Frenchman Street and not far from the French Market. Clean, well-stocked, very comfortable. Suzanne was easy to correspond with and all of our questions were answered quickly. The backyard is private and cozy - we had friends staying a few houses away and everyone loved coming and sitting out in the backyard in the evenings! Staying here was so much better than a hotel. The house has character! We found the food co-op up the street and Walgreens is only a block or so up for any quick needs. We were within walking distance to restaurants, Bourbon Street and all of it's craziness, but tucked just far enough away to be in a quiet area. Thanks Suzanne, for a wonderful stay!
La Maison Scott is located just a few blocks from the famous French Quarter, Frenchman St,known for it's Jazz, Cafe's and Bars, and of course the French Quarter Market.
Just a few of our favorite venues for Jazz includes The Spotted Cat, the DBA, Three Muses, The BMC. If you are in the mood for some NAWLIN'S dishes try ADOLFO'S or COOP's.. We are a bike ride aways from the famous cemeteries, Jackson Square, City park, Louis Armstrong Park, Riverwalk shops.
