Werganrose Farm is a beautiful, recently modernised, large farmhouse sleeping 16 to 22 persons. Set in 35 acres of natural forest, pasture land & flower meadow with a large private lake. The house dates back to the 17Th Century, in the last 10 years, it has been expanded & modernised into a comfortable and spacious abode,

There has been an private nature reserve at the farm for some years and access to this 10 acre site is available to guests. The reserve is comprised of forest, a two-acre secluded pleasure lake, fully stocked with Carp, and a wet flower meadow with many rare species, including orchids. The site is teeming with wildlife making it an ideal destination for birdwatchers, anglers and nature lovers.

It is situated just inside the Gower Peninsula with its many and famous beaches, the most renowned of these being Three Cliffs Bay, which is 5 minute drive from the property. There are 4 Golf Courses within 10 minutes of the farm.

The property is an ideal location for small bespoke weddings prices on application . It also lends itself perfectly for holistic courses and retreats.

Werganrose is an expansive and adaptable space fitted out to a high standard.There are 2 ground floor living spaces, 1 cosy with t.v. and 1 very large. It is south facing and gets sun throughout the day and the grounds are large a secluded.

Fantastic house for a large group near Three cliffs and Mumbles

We found the house superb for a our 50th birthdays, we were a mixed group of 22, age ranges 6yrs to 60! It was great to find a property that was dog friendly as well as child and teenage friendly. Amanda the owner was very helpful and obliging. Added perks are the wonderful nearby lake with rowing boat, the sauna and newly installed hot tub. The house is great for communal fun with space to loose the crowd too! A memorable stay, and everyone will remember the skydiver landing in the field, meeting the goats and horses, and a lot of messing about on the lake. Great location for Three Cliffs, The Mumbles and all the Gower sites. Nearby tea shop lovely too. Very well equipped house, big larder, big kitchen and big living and bedrooms. Would definitely book again and recommend this house.

The retreat and location wss lovely.

I would not call this farmhouse "luxurious" the decor is tired and dated.

The rooms were clean.

The shower temperature was not warm in four days.

The overall attention to detail in the bedrooms was poor. No bedside light or table, the bed kept sliding away from the wall.

The bedding and towels whilst clean and laundered had seen much better days and extremely tired looking.

The whole room could have done with a massive refresh.

It's such a shame as the lake and grounds were terrific.

A weekend we'll never forget!!

We stayed at this house for my husband’s 30th birthday, 10 couples in total and I know that everyone will agree when I say that we came away having had 1 of the best weekends of our lives – with an amazing hostess Amanda who was more than happy to put up with our noisy antics from morning to night lol. From the spectacular house to the beautiful land surrounding it, everything about this venue is nothing short of a dream! what gives this venue the wow factor is the private lake complete with rowing boat – it give the lads in our group hours of entertainment!! We’re all currently arguing over dates so that we can book this venue again! Thank you once again Amanda for allowing us a weekend we’ll never forget.

Perfect Party House!

We were 20 students celebrating finishing Jan exams and wanting to get away for a long weekend and our entire stay was faultless! It really is such a fab set up and the perfect party house!

The kitchen was very well equipped and made catering for 20 of us very easy, plus having a table big enough to seat everyone is a rare thing.

All of the bedrooms are really spacious and plenty of bathrooms with great showers. Plus the sauna was a big hit!

Location wise it's great, took just over an hour to get here from Cardiff which is ideal and it is very close to all the Gower's wonderful beaches.

Amanda (the owner) was so lovely and very accommodating of us partying till the early hours!

Everyone has raved about the house and are all very keen to come back next year! Cannot recommend this place highly enough!!

Great family holiday

We are 3 generations of one family and all had a brilliant time There is plenty of space, both inside and out, and, as we had brought kayaks with us, the lake provided great entertainment. The farm is really conveniently located for all the Gower beaches, and the shops in Killay are very handy. The butcher is particularly good.

Amanda dealt with all our enquiries promptly and efficiently and could not have been more helpful.

We are just sorting out dates for next summer. Can't wait!

Great PartyHouse

We stayed at the farm with family and friends and it was a great experience.

The facilities at the house are excellent. We had a group of fifteen staying and eight more invited to a bbq.

Everyone had loads of space and Amanda and Emily were available with help and advice about the area taxis etc.

We had a big log fire a huge table to entertain at and lots of happy memories.

We were there for a wedding in oxwich bay and it was so nice to have time either side of the big day. The only negative comment was that we had to come home

It is situated just inside the Gower Peninsula with its many and famous beaches, The Gower itself is Britain's first ever A.N.O.B (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) being preserved over 50 years ago.

The farm is flanked on one side by beautiful common land which is grazed by wild horses. To the east, two of Swansea's best golf courses lead into Clyne Country Park which separates the area from Swansea itself, the city being a 15 minute drive from the property. The picturesque fishing village of Mumbles is a 10 minute drive away, making this property the most conveniently located accommodation of its type on the Peninsula.

There is a minimum tariff £1250 for a weekend in low season.
Mid week stays is negotiable pricing, please contact owner.

We require a 30% deposit to secure the booking and the balance becomes due 60 days prior to arrival. Booking deposits are non refundable after 120 days prior to booking dates.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 7 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival date.
