Outdoor shower; beach chairs. Off-street parking. It is an easy walk (4 minutes) to Main Street, shopping restaurants and harbor.

About The Owner

When I bought my house almost ten years ago I wanted to honor its one hundred and fifty years of Nantucket history. And so I furnished it with antiques that are user friendly and full of character, like the house. I restored, without replacing wonderful old walls, floors and molding. It is made for happy living in the present that is warmed by memories of the past.

The Owner purchased this house in 2009

Great house, perfect location!

  • 5 of 5

We were very pleased with this house. Great space for our family of four, both bedrooms and multiple living spaces. Plenty of supplies there - beach towels and linens and puzzles (all the essentials). Loved the back yard and patio. Spacious kitchen/ family room space. Seating for 18 for a meal. Modern bathrooms make the quaint very comfortable. Such fun to read about owner Sherry's journey finding and transforming the house into what she dreamed of. I'm so glad we were able to share it for a week!

Best Ever

  • 5 of 5

I don't even know where to begin. Sherry's home was the most beautiful, the most thoughtfully appointed, the most perfect for our family, the most full-of-joy-and-spirit place I've ever been to or rented. It felt exactly close and far enough to town (town is right there, but somehow the house felt a little removed), every room looks like a treasure trove of sailing artifacts and maritime themes (as a scholar and writer on sailors, my heart was delighted), and everything was so perfectly thought out. This house made the vacation perfect beyond our wildest dreams and Sherry was the best host ever - thank you! Hope we get to stay again!

Owner's Response: Thank you! I think in this case the old adage applies: "Takes one to know one." Or really...takes one to appreciate one. Come again soon, Sherry

Loved it!!

  • 5 of 5

Charming is the perfect word to describe the house. You felt like you were staying in a place with history, but of course renovated and decorated for today. Quick walk to town and short bike/drive to the beaches. And of course Sherry is wonderful to work with, made sure our group was ok as some hurricane weather was predicted to head our way.

Enchanting home-away-from-home in Nantucket!

  • 5 of 5

#30, aka "The Heirloom House", is more than perfect - the house was just as described on VRBO! It is very cozy and beautifully furnished with a wonderful collection of antiques and shell boxes. The house is bright, clean, and has the most delightful garden in which we sat for both breakfast, and for cocktails before walking into the center of town to one of the many amazing restaurants Nantucket has to offer. Shops and museums are nearby, as are a variety of beaches. We were fortunate to be there for the Historical Society's Annual Kitchen and House Tour. We would certainly recommend this lovely spacious cottage for a stay which represents the "true Nantucket idyllic experience"!

Charming and convenient

  • 5 of 5

The house and property are beautiful and in a most convenient neighborhood to town, supermarket, beaches and more!

The home is extremely clean and comfortable, and the owner is easy to contact and very helpful. Nice amenities are included such as bikes and beach towels. The rooms are small but charming with fans and/or AC. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone!
