Down a winding path, this architecturally interesting hillside cabin on the outskirts of the village of Inverness overlooks Tomales Bay, with eye-filling, panoramic views beyond to the hills of West Marin from every window. It is newly renovated and handsomely furnished, with a kitchen fit for gourmet talents, as well as a large, sunny deck that positively expands the human spirit. Here is both comfort and serenity.
The cabin best suits up to four guests. Two bedrooms--one with a king bed (convertible into two twins) and the other with a queen bed—are in the lower level, where there is also a full bath and laundry. In a pinch, the upper level living room, with a half bath, can accommodate more guests on a queen-sized leather sofa bed.
The cabin comes with wireless internet and there is a tv monitor for your movies or games, with a Roku streaming player that allows you to connect to your Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime account. Cell phone reception is excellent, and there is an iPhone/iPad dock that plays your music through the hi-fi system. Italian and Danish modern furniture, as well as a Jotul fireplace, add interest to this appealing getaway cabin, but don’t forget that handsome Wolf range when it comes time to cook up West Marin’s bountiful provender.
(For larger groups, up to eight people, the cabin immediately adjacent, on the same driveway, can also be rented, and it, too has pleasing views as well as interesting architectural features)
My name is Sally and I manage this property for the owners. I have lived in Inverness for over 10 years.
The property manager was very helpful.
The vacation rental was spotless.
I was very happy with the location.
I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
Place was large, cool architecture, quiet, great views. The walk up / down to the house is a bit long, but expected.
The house was perfect for our stay. Very comfortable living space, well equipped kitchen, nice wood stove with plenty of fireplace, stereo and tv (for dvd's). Two bedrooms with very comfortable beds and warm comforters. Very roomy deck with nice furniture. Wonderful views from every space. Sally, the agent, was most accommodating and helpful. We will be back.
Our family had a wonderful five night stay at this cottage. The views were spectacular and the ambiance very peaceful and relaxing. The kitchen was perfect for our needs. The manager, Sally, went out of her way to provide everything we needed for a comfortable stay and let us know that she was available if we needed her. We would not hesitate to stay here again!
Every little detail as been considered for your comfort, amazing location, fantastic views, we had a great time, would love to come back soon.
