Wonderful views!

  • 5 of 5

Was visiting the area to meet our newborn grandson, and the property made the perfect base. Lovely sized rooms, with wonderful views. Kept being distracted (in a good way) by the activities outside when watching TV!

Came home relaxed and refreshed.

Simon the owner was very helpful, and if my son and his family stay in the area , we wouldn't hesitate to stop again - if Simon would have us back!!

Brilliant location, warm, clean , well equipped.

We really enjoyed the location being boat owners ourselves. The house was great and suited us very well. My husband and I were there for a week, we were joined by another couple and their son for three nights. Beds were comfortable, plenty of storage space, we really liked the balcony and being able to watch the boats, an added bonus was watching the fireworks on the Hoe on Bonfire night. We found the water taxi to Plymouth very useful as it saved the hassle of driving and parking. My only small criticism would be a shortage of crockery and glasses, there were only sufficient plates for 6 people, as a dishwasher is provided having enough plates etc for 2 meals would have been useful. We would recommend it to friends and if we were in the area again would rebook.

First Class Stay

  • 5 of 5

We booked this property for a long weekend and were thrilled with it. We stayed as a family including teenagers, grandparents and we all had a brilliant stay. The property is very clean, well decorated and in a very peaceful location. Set on the marina you have the best of both worlds, the beautiful marina outside and just a short ferry ride or car journey takes you into the busier centre if thats what you enjoy. The kitchen was well equiped and there was plenty of parking space. The owner was extremly helpful from the initial enquiry to our arrival and I would definately recommend this property to anyone. Thank you again Simon, we really had a lovely stay in your house and we will be booking again.

Superb location - and not just for boaters...

  • 4 of 5

A very well-equipped modern home with great vantage point over the marina. Close enough by short ferry ride to city attractions without the noise! Good too for coast walking from the front door. For local eating out recommend the Tuesday specials at the Boringdon, Turnchapel or the Bridge next door for a treat.

Mountbatten is a small peninsular on the edge of the city of Plymouth, surrounded by Plymouth harbor and the river plym. There is a beach at the end of the street, and several other beaches some within walking distance. The street the house is on, is private and quiet. However there is 4 pub/restaurants in the area. Should you need more excitement, take the foot ferry ,about 400metres away to Plymouth (£1.50)where there are lots of shops. Eat in dozens of restaurant and see all the attractions a large city has to offer. Bars clubs etc. if its relaxation and the country life you seek,go in the other direction and you will find horse ridding, golf swimming and all the pursuits you would expect.

Other Activities: extensive shopping, restaurants, bars, clubs etc.
