Why Qui Chau chose Harrisburg
We love downtown because it's a unique neighborhood to play and relax. Riverfront is at your door steps and City Island and the "Walking Bridge" offers a very unique experience of the Susquehanna River. Harrisburg is a hidden jewel in Pennsylvania due to its rich history, natural beauty and easy access to most major Mid-Atlantic metropolitan cities. It is the capital city of Pennsylvania with many historic buildings to visit. The Blue Ridge & Appalachian Mountains surround it with lots of hiking and biking trails. It is considered the hub of PA due to most major highways passing through or near it. This house lies on the most southern part of historic Shipoke. It is known for its river front access, views and sunsets. You can easily walk or drive to all points. We had lived in the city for over 10 yrs and its a joy to visit or do business here.
What makes this Townhome unique
You will be surprised by the natural beauty of the location. There are many bridges that span the Susquehanna River and it's right at your door steps. The serene back patio allows you to enjoy your morning coffee or walk to a bench on Riverfront Park to soak in the sunrise or sunsets. The house is fully furnished for your enjoyment.

Great old row home with easy access to I-83
Great little row house
Close to everything. The beds are extremely soft but not lumpy or bad just very soft. Great water pressure for showers and the house has alot of old charm with modern touches
Great location with a lot of space
We stayed in this property during a trip to Hersheypark with our children. The house is only about a 25 minute drive from Hershey and the privacy and space that this house offered was so much better than staying in a hotel. It was so nice to have a washer and dryer after the water park and for our children to have their own rooms to sleep in. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were all comfortable. The house was clean and furnished with everything that we needed. We loved the historical neighborhood and the view of the river. We would definitely stay here again if it was available next time we go to Hersheypark.
our son was getting married in Harrisburg- we stayed at this locale for 4 nights with another couple- clean/fully stocked- on the water- perfect venue-thanks
Enjoyed the Historical Neighborhood and House
It was a good experience for me and my family to have been able to stay in a house and neighborhood with history and charm.
Harrisburg with a View!
The property was well situated and convenient to the Capital and many restaurants. The kitchen was well stocked; the housekeeping excellent and the view was a knockout. We were four adults and very comfortable. The proximity to the busy bridge was a cause for a bit of noise but with the windows shut it was not a problem.
If you go you will enjoy a walk along the river and then a short hike into the city.
Perfectly situated in the historic district of Shipoke in downtown Harrisburg in a residential neighborhood, this 3 story rowhome is within walking distance to everything. Lively 2nd Street is just minutes away. Riverfront is at your door steps. Enjoy one of the most beautiful sunsets in PA right in front of you. City Island is a very short walk & downtown is 5-10 minutes away.
You are in the heart of everything that is downtown yet far enough to have your privacy and enjoy the serene Susquehanna River.
Must do is walk the Walnut St (Walking Bridge) at sunset or early morning to City Island and take the entire loop around the island. Riverfront Walk has 2 levels of sidewalks that takes you 2-3 miles up Front Street. Very scenic and peaceful. Great area to walk, bike, rollerblade, etc.
Public bus transportation just 2-3 blocks away, Amtrak just downtown (10 min walk) and very easy access to all major highways by car.
There are many local attractions, all of which are under 1 hour radius of the house. Hersheypark and Chocolate World is only a short 20 minute drive, historic Gettysburg Battlefield is 45 minutes away, Amish Country in Lancaster is 45 minutes, Appalachian Trail is under 25 minutes, and of course Riverfront Riverwalk right at your doorsteps.
For families, the Whitaker Center is perfect for everyone. It is the only IMAX theater in the local area. The Susquehanna Museum is located in Midtown as well as the Broad Street Farmer's Market (Thur-Sat). Lots of local restaurants make it easy for a night out or take in.
For the adventurous and day trippers, Philadelphia can be reached by Amtrak in 1h45min, NYC & Pittsburgh in 3 hrs, Washington DC in 2.5 hrs, Baltimore in just over 1 hr and beautiful Maryland or Delaware beaches in 2-3 hours.
