Great house in a quiet, secluded spot
Overall, we had a great time at this property. The house is fairly new, and was in great condition. The rooms are all nicely sized and it's in a very pretty spot in the forest overlooking a stream.
Beds were comfy and the place was outfitted well with towels, cleaning supplies, etc. The kitchen has a wonderful stove, but is otherwise filled with pretty basic pans, utensils, etc. If you're a stickler for great knives or something, you might want to plan on bringing your own. It was perfectly suited for our needs though.
The one minor downside to the house is that - except for the front porch - there is not really a place to comfortably lounge outside, and there is no outside table.
Plenty of great hiking, exploring nearby - and a lovely spot. Would certainly recommend.
Thank you for your comments. I appreciate your feedback and with try to get some more outdoor areas for lounging , like a table and chairs
Thanks again for being wonderful guests
We stayed for a month over July and had a wonderful time. I highly recommend this property.
Fall leaf viewing
The house was very clean and beautiful. It is very secluded. You feel like you are out in the woods. The only draw back that we found was all the stairs. We did not realize that the entrance was on the basement level so if you have difficulty doing stairs this could be an issue. The master suite was on the main level so once you get into the house you can avoid the majority of stairs.
Great house and a beautiful setting
Our stay was short - I was dropping off my child at school. The house was great - the floor plan was open so it was easy to gather in the living/dining/kitchen area but we could all had our own room which was nice. The house had everything we needed. I only wish we could have spent more time exploring the area. We hope to go back!
Great for a peaceful retreat!
The house and property was clean and well-maintained. We enjoyed our stay. The house was roomy. I would recommend anyone to stay here for a quiet retreat away from everything. We especially enjoyed the wrap around front porch. There is a regular coffee pot. Make sure you bring your own coffee (It is not a Keurig). Also bring wash cloths unless they have been added. There were lots of towels. It was nice to have a garage for your car. Fishing and the Appalachian Trail are close by. If you don’t want to fish or hike, there isn’t much to do in the area. The Wandering Moose Cafe has really good food and is right next to the West Cornwall Covered Bridge.
Great stay in the hills. We love the house.
This is a beautiful property. The house is well designed for comfort and accommodates three couples or couples with children. My wife and I had our daughter, her husband and there two boys and the house was perfect for us. We were busy everyday of our weeks stay. We have been visiting the area for quite a long time and know the things to do. Our fishing was a bit disappointing as the river was quite low do to lack of rain. The kitchen was great to cook in but we really needed a set of glass pyrex bowls. Don't miss Kent Falls state park. The climb up the falls is just spectacular. We are looking forward to staying here again.
