Fully air conditioned 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom townhouse on La Torre Golf Resort

Our elegantly-designed front-line town house at La Torre has stunning views overlooking the 15th hole of the golf course. It is located in a quieter part of the resort, ideal for golfers or young families, being only 100 metres to two of the many children’s play areas and a short 6 minute walk from the nearest of the resort’s 22 swimming pools.

The fully air-conditioned property has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Each bedroom has two single beds which can be zipped together to make a super king-size bed, if you prefer. There is central heating throughout for those refreshingly cooler winter nights and free wireless broadband available throughout the house plus a phone for free calls to other properties on the resort. For free international calls, download the WhatsApp, Viber, Facebook or Skype apps to your smartphone and use the free WiFi in the house and at many of the bars and restaurants in the area, including those on the Resort.

The master bedroom is upstairs, with patio doors leading to the upstairs terrace and its superb vistas across the golf-course, palm trees and lake. On the terrace you'll find a table (with umbrella), four chairs and four sun-loungers. We also have two lightweight, foldable loungers for use around the pools or at the beach.

We supply a sat nav for guests, televisions in the lounge and both bedrooms, a large selection of DVDs, books and games, and a Bluetooth speaker. No need to buy bottled water, as we have a filter on the kitchen tap, supplying an endless amount of quality drinking water.

La Torre Golf Resort: La Torre Golf Resort is spread over one square mile of sun-drenched Spanish countryside.

La Torre is a truly Mediterranean community. Laid out around a verdant Jack Nicklaus-designed 18-hole golf course, its white-washed properties are a dazzling mixture of villas, semi-detached houses and luxury apartments, with wide avenues flanked by landscaped gardens and the most varied local flora. Its plentiful facilities include twenty-two large swimming pools, a driving range, outdoor gym equipment, table tennis tables, pétanque, padel and two tennis courts.

Comfort, convenience and peace-of-mind are priorities at La Torre. It boasts a gated entry system and 24-hour manned security.

The centrepiece of the resort is the 18-hole Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course. But it is not all about golf. You can take a dip in one of the twenty-two luxury swimming pools on the resort, practice your serve on the tennis courts, use the outdoor gym, table tennis and padel courts or have fun with the kids at one of the children’s playgrounds. If you want a break from the action, you can relax over a glass of the excellent local wine or enjoy fine dining in one of La Torre's bars and restaurants.

The Resort’s town centre is clustered around the shimmering lake. It includes shops, a large supermarket, a travel agents, a beauty salon and hairdressers, hotel, Club House and several restaurants and bars, including an Italian, a tapas bar, The Clover pub, a speciality rice restaurant and a juice and milkshake bar. (Please note: these are subject to seasonal opening.) From house to Resort centre is three-quarters of a mile (1.2 km), or around a 15-minute stroll.

Local beaches: Los Alcázares, on the Mar Menor, has some of the finest beaches on the Costa Cálida ('The Warm Coast'). Several have won awards for their high standards. Along the promenade there are various bars, cafes and restaurants selling local tapas, along with play areas for children. A short walk inland is the centre of Los Alcázares town itself.

Further along the Mar Menor are the fine sandy beaches at San Pedro del Pinatar. If you’ve had enough sand, try the village’s famous therapeutic mud which are believed to prevent rheumatism and arthritis.

Or there’s Santiago de la Ribera, whose wide, newly refurbished promenade leads on to a sandy beach, with many beach front cafés and restaurants to sit and relax. You can also take a relaxing ferry trip from here across the Mar Menor to La Manga.

For a little more seclusion, try the hidden gem of Torre de la Horadada, characterised by small private coves and warm clear waters.

The house has a tourist licence and an Energy Performance Certificate rating of E. The property is strictly No Smoking and that we do not offer long term lets. Please note that there is an additional charge of 70 euros for the clean/changeover. This is payable locally to the Property Manager.

For us, La Torre is our second home, somewhere we visit as often as our time (and finances!) allows. We love the fact that it's in a quiet location, yet within easy reach of so many typically-Spanish towns.

There's nothing to beat a barbecue and drinks on the upstairs terrace, overlooking the golf course on a warm summer's evening. For the cooler nights, we have the glass curtains on the downstair terrace.

We had a fantastic holiday, thanks. The house was perfect for us and everything we could possibly need was there, the resort itself was lovely and very well kept and maintained. The swimming pool which was only about 5 min away was perfect and that's where we spent a lot of time. A car is definitely a must because the resort is quite isolated in that sense but at the same time we travelled to Murcia, Cartegena and of course the beach which are not too far in the car. So we got to see quite a bit of the surrounding area and still have the relaxed atmosphere of the resort. So all in all we had a great holiday and would have no problem recommending the resort to others.

There is a bedroom and bathroom downstairs, making the property suitable for people with limited mobility. The glass curtains allow year-round enjoyment of the downstairs patio area. Here you can dine alfresco or simply relax with a good book in the shade on the day-bed. On the the upstairs terrace, with its superb vistas across the golf-course, palm trees and lake, you'll find a table (with sun umbrella), four chairs and four sun-loungers. We have a library of over 300 CDs, books, games and DVDs, covering every taste, from horror, action, family, comedy and children's films. To help you get around, there's a sat nav at the property, with a number of pre-installed points of interest, such as the beaches, recommended bars and restaurants, golf courses and the various local towns. Need a high chair or cot? No problem. Just email us with your details. Please note that NO SMOKING is allowed in the property.

Top quality accommodation.

The listing description was accurate regarding the location, layout and facilities.

The property was clean, well equipped and it was well-maintained.

The Customer Service and communication with the owner was first class.

I have already recommended the property to friends and relatives and will definitely go back and preferably soon.

The golf course outside the property was in good order, the restaurant on site was top notch and the supermarket had a good choice of wine.

Great property with every home from home amenity.

The property was great and with all amenities that you expect. It really was a home from home.

The resort however is very quiet. In fact it's a ghost town in early June. The intercontinental hotel in the development centre closed down several years ago and the associated restaurants around it have also closed. The golf club house is tired and staff totally disinterested in customers. Tables not cleared, floors dirty and generally poor all round.

With a lack of facilities on site, it is 20 mins at least on the motorway to nearby restaurants and you soon get fed up with the constant driving.

Owner's Response: Unfortunately La Torre is still seasonal, with many of the bars and restaurants only open in July and August. We stayed at the resort in the middle of June and whilst the venues that were open were very busy, it was disappointing that the tapas bar, the rice restaurant and others were still closed. I don't agree that the staff are totally disinterested in customers and I've not noticed that it is particularly any different from other areas of Spain. We've always had good service on La Torre, although we do tip and always order in Spanish. (Imagine if a German person came to London, one of the most multi-cultural cities in the world, and ordered in German all night; what sort of service would he receive?) There's a number of bars and restaurants in nearby Roldan, 2.5km away. These are already in the sat nav at the house and listed in the restaurant guide, which can be downloaded from our website, details of which I give to all guests once their booking is confirmed. Some of them offer courtesy lifts. The good news is that Polaris World, the resort developers, sold the hotel, bars and restaurants in December last year. We were hoping the changes would come into effect by this summer at the latest, but Spain being Spain, it will be next year now, with the opening of the hotel planned for February 2017 - a full 15 months after being sold! The new owners run a successful resort further down the coast, so we are very optimistic that they can turn things round. I'll make sure your feedback is passed to the new owners so that they are fully aware of the areas they need to work on.

Great townhouse

Great house over looking the golf course. Furnished lovely with a lot of thought to every detail. The sat nav was very helpful just the little touches plenty of books DVDs etc.

The house was very clean and on a lovely tree line street.

Great place to stay close to the beach, and other locations.

Lovely townhouse with great golf views.

We have just returned from a lovely holiday staying on La Torre Golf resort, the the town house was well equipped with everything you could need. Kitchen had plenty of utensils fior self catering holiday. Lovely furniture nice touches, and plenty of books for you to read.

Bernie was very helpful when we needed him, can't thank him enough.

From booking till arrival Mike was very helpful with contact details, also directions from airport spot on.

The house with it all

Very well appointed house in a wonderful location overlooking the golf course. Attention to detail by the owners is second to none with every eventuality having been catered for.

Information provided is unbelievably comprehensive, with anything that one would want to know about the house or the area is available.

Furnished Sun Terrace & Glass Curtained patio for those lazy days and nights.

This house has it all.

A lovely well equipped and clean townhouse

The house was very well equipped, dishwasher, bbq, washing machine. Our girls loved selection of dvds internet access and a choice of excellent pools on the resort. The supermarket and shop on the resort were well stocked and reasonably priced. The resort was very quiet when we visited, but we enjoyed a very relaxing holiday. The road system near the resort was good for day trips out to the Coast (about 20mins) and Cartegna (about 40 mins). Owner information provided was excellent. We were met by Bertie on arrival who was very helpful. Would recommend to those looking for a relaxing holiday.

Golf: Murcia is rapidly becoming one Europe’s foremost golfing destinations with dozens of courses and many more in development.

The 18-hole, 5,350-metre, par 68 course at La Torre Golf Resort is kept in match condition all year round. It offers a great game of golf for everyone, from beginners to more advanced players. The minimum handicap is 28 for men and 36 for women. It has three lakes and five hectares of bunkers to challenge even its designer, golfing legend Jack Nicklaus.

Facilities include a driving range, a lively club house and a mobile refreshment buggy to keep you topped up during your round. There is also a golf pro shop in the town centre where you can purchase a wide range of golf equipment and accessories, from clubs to the latest designs in golf wear. After your game, you can retire to the Wood House bar for a drink and a bite to eat.
