Villa La Passe is a recently fully refurbished private holiday villa with pool, 4 double bedrooms, 3 en-suite bathrooms and 1 separate bathroom. The villa has two large reception rooms with a new open plan, fully fitted kitchen with granite worktops. Both reception rooms open onto a south facing terrace which includes an outside kitchen/dining area with its own clay oven & barbecue.
The villa has its own private solar heated swimming pool surrounded by sunbathing terraces. The swimming pool terrace is now fully gated for extra security for families with young children. All rooms are fully air-conditioned.
The master bedroom has its own private south facing sun terrace. There is also a mezzanine area which can accommodate additional sleeping for two people.
Villa La Passe is set in one acre of terraced olive grove, close to the beautiful Provencal village of Claviers. The village has three restaurants, a bar, boulangerie and village convenience store. The villa is situated a ten minute walk from the village centre with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. Parking for two cars is available on the private gated driveway with additional room outside the property.
The property was completely refurbished during 2016. The villa has been tiled throughout with travertine marble floor tiles. All bathrooms have been completely refurbished and re-tiled. Externally, two new sun bathing terraces have been created at the lower and upper pool levels. The property is south facing and is in the sun all day long. However, the outside kitchen terrace provides welcome retreat from the sun with beautiful views overlooking the pool to the south. The outside kitchen has a child safety gate and offers a shaded area for small children during the day. The outside kitchen is fully fitted with sink, granite worktops, fridge, traditional wood fired clay oven and BBQ. There is a large dining table and chairs.
The garden terraces are filled with olive and fig trees, and back on to a natural forest. If you have a young child there is a travel cot and high chair available at the villa.
We spent a week at this beautiful villa, with stunning views. Everything was perfect, including the weather.
This villa is wonderfully peaceful and tranquil. Furnished and decorated to the highest standard, it is spacious, and fully equipped, towels; bedding; crockery; utensils; dishwasher and washing machine.
The pool area is fabulous; there are lots of sun loungers, and the fenced and paved pool area is in the sun for the whole day. There are several terraces, where you can simply sit and relax and enjoy the stunning forest scenery; sunshine by day, clear skies at night.
The outside kitchen was well equipped, with a wood fired oven and barbeque, made the dinning outside very special.
The location of the villa is exquisite, being rural and within walking distance to the ancient village of Claviers. It has a bakery, a small well stocked shop, Post Office and Tourist information office.
The owner of the villa, Dave could not be more helpful in making our stay special. We would differently recommend this villa for a holiday, it is a perfect place to relax and unwind. This was one of our best villa holidays. We have booked again to return next year!!!
We arrived late on Saturday and thankfully Dave (the owner) had arranged for a welcome pack for us, everything we needed to see us through the night, including a small pack of beers! Thank you Dave.
The following morning we were off exploring the house and garden.
The kids had no problem finding the pool and that was them happy for the two weeks. Thankfully, we could see them in the pool from the terrace, so we could keep an eye on them.
The house was great, very open, airy and clean and there are a couple of very nice villages in the location; Claviers (10 min walk for the morning bread) and Bargemon. Both villages with the usual array of typical French bars, restaurants and shops.
We had a couple of trips out during our stay; to Le Muy (great market and small WWII museum) and Lac du Verdon (pedalos and more swimming).
We've been holidaying in French villas and gites for over 10 years now and this place is up the top of the list for location, presentability, amenities and comfort.
All in all, a fantastic two weeks, in a lovely house, in a lovely location. Would we go back? YES.
We spent a week recently at thus beautiful villa. Everything was perfect along with the weather, clean and well maintained. Amazing outside kitchen with bbq and pizza oven which we used several times during our stay.
The pool is lovely with amazing views and well maintained along with numerous terraces to sit and relax. Close enough to walk to the village for restaurants.
Well placed to visit Nice, Cannes and Monaco.
Overall we had a lovely week and would definitely recommend it.
We had a wonderful week here. The villa was spacious, easily enough space for our 5 adults and 2 children. The place was modern, clean and within an easy walk of the village center. The pool was fantastic and the views breathtaking. Claviers is about a 10 minute walk (or 2 minute drive away). Such a friendly, local town - a bakery, small supplies store and 3 restaurants - what more do you need! The villa is also well situated and an easy drive between Nice, Cannes and Aix en Provence. And very close to many of the Cote de Provence wineries!
We recently stayed at this beautiful villa. Everything was perfect, including the weather. The villa is beautiful, very clean and well maintained, with a well stocked kitchen area. The pool was lovely and the outside oven and terrace are fab. The village of Claviers is lovely and the locals are friendly and helpful. There are also lots of beautiful villages to discover close by, all with lovely restaurants.
The owners of the villa, Dave and Tracey could not have been more helpful in making our stay special, they are knowledgeable about the local area and gave us lots of advice on places to visit locally. We would most definitely recommend the villa for a holiday, it is the perfect place to relax and unwind. We will be back!!!!!!
This villa is wonderfully peaceful and tranquil. Furnished and decorated to the highest standard, it is spacious and fully equipped, towels; bedding; crockery; utensils; dishwasher and washing machines a real home from home. We base our review on the use of a hire car which we recommend. You simply arrive and the holiday begins.
The outside terraces, complete with kitchen facilities; wood fired oven and barbecue make dining outside special.
Alternatively it's a place where you can simply sit and relax enjoying the stunning forest scenery; sunshine by day, clear skies at night.
The pool area is fabulous; the water, which is maintained to a high standard can also be heated. There are lots of wooden sun loungers, and the fenced and paved pool area is in the sun for the whole day. There are also several comfortable shaded spots for those who would prefer.
The residents of Claviers are so welcoming and friendly especially JP who runs Le Circ a community run bar in the centre of the village. There is a small but well stocked Supermarket, open every day including Sunday morning; bakery and Post Office/Tourist information office. In addition the access to nearby villages and towns including Bargemon and Le Muy is relatively straightforward. Some of the roads require extra care in negotiating several of the sharp bends and narrow passing points that reflect the rural setting of the property. However, all are well signed and the road surfaces are excellent.
The ownersTracey and Dave provide directions and information which is accurate and really useful. We particularly appreciated the time they had taken to do this.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have no hesitation in recommending Villa La Passé.
Thank you very much.
