4 Bedroom; 3 Bathroom; Nestled In The Center Of Town on Very Private Wooded Lot
About Sally Welder
My Husband and I, along with our son Ethan bought and remodeled this house in 2015. Ethan did or contracted the entire remodel himself Our family has lived in the area for over 40 years. We all deeply appreciate activities outdoors and time spent together as a family, Need to know the best fishing holes, trails to hike (in and outside of Glacier National Park), dining, best shopping boutiques, most accommodating spas, child care facilities? Just ask US and we promise you will not be disappointed. Although Ethan lives next door, he is often quite busy. Terry (My husband) and I spend our summers in Glacier National Park. Therefore we are so fortunate to have our Property Manager, Kris Reed, available to assist you with any of your needs and greet you once you arrive!
Why Sally Welder chose Kalispell
This is our first family "project" in Kalispell. We loved the idea of owning something historical and close to the Conrad Mansion and Woodland Park . This area of town is dear to our hearts. The location is absolutely dreamy.
What makes this House unique
This house is exceptional. Everything from the beautiful mountain views that can be seen on the top and main level, to the romantic and country chic ambiance in the backyard, lighted in the evenings with white lights, a fire pit, and two swings, with a creek running through it. This property is breathtaking. Whether you are gathering for a family reunion, planning a wedding here or at Woodland Park, or simply enjoying Glacier Park or the Flathead Valley , Park Place is without a doubt the place for you!
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Nice central place to stay during Spartan race weekend
House, beds, kitchen, bedrooms, location all was nice. We were greeted when we got there, had great wifi, instructions, yard for kids to play on swings and outside and a park across the street.
It may have been mentioned in the listing and I missed it, but if it wasn't, I suggest putting the turn into the house is a dirt road through the chain link fence. Maybe we are the only ones that missed it the first time, but seemed easy to miss. Also, there are spring type bugs/centipede looking bugs all over downstairs and some upstairs to include some ants. The house really needs sprayed inside and out. There were a handful of bugs we picked up and many in the basement bar area.
Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and loved having our own rooms and the nice private location. Everything seemed to work nicely. We didn't use the front kitchen door too much because had problems trying to unlock/lock it. We just used the basement door mostly.
FYI, my kids were going to stay in the upstairs bedroom and thought the picture with the woman was creepy/scary (lol), so we took it down and put it against the wall. We forgot to hang it back up. Sorry about that.
We are glad you had a good time and regret that your children didn't like our art choices. We hope you come back soon. The driveway is paved but can be hard to see, we will review the instructions. Thanks for telling us about the ants and bugs who have come marching in. We have never had that problem before but there is a first for everything. We will get that taken care of before the next guest arrive and check out the doors. We appreciate your honest suggestions.
Great location, beautiful home, marvelous fireplace, kitchen & bath amenities missing
Had a great time in this marvelous home. Nicely renovated/well put together for an older home. We were excited to find a fireplace when we arrive but no wood. We assumed fires were not authorized but called the property manager; she said we could. We bought a few firewood bundles at a store and started a fire. Shortly after the manager showed up with two bundles; very nice and very much appreciated. The fire each night was amazing.
The home was very central to old town Kalispell and we were very happy with that. Most shopping is north of town but the historic, tourist and local shops are all in old town. We were pleasantly surprised at the location; it was in the middle of town but felt like the middle of nowhere. Truly a park like setting; if that wasn’t enough there is literally a park across the street. We also saw several deer in the yard.
It snowed about 6” while we were there and the owner/manager had the driveway cleaned very quickly for easy access.
My one concern was the lack of essentials in the kitchen and baths. The cooking pans, pots, baking sheets and skillets were limited; for breakfast we had to cook one thing then keep it warm in the oven (on a plate) so we could use the same skillet for something else. There was no casserole dish of any size and we had to buy one (no crock pot either but we brought one). There were few cooking utensils as well. There was one serving spoon; we had to use eating spoons to serve meals that we prepared. There was no potato peeler; my son went to the store to buy one (which made dinner awkward/late). There were few spices so we again went to the store. “Most” Air BnB’s/VRBO’s have a good selection of spices; if I need one I’ll buy it and leave it there for the next guest. Also there was no soap/shampoo in the bathrooms. I understand not all use the same ones but when you arrive late it’s nice to have it. Once again if I had to buy some I would typically leave it there. BUT…the good news is that there is a grocery store within .5 mile so it is easily reachable if you absolutely need something.
Will we stay there again? Yes, it was perfect for 8 guests and the different locations of the bedrooms made it nice to segregate different family members.
Thank you for sharing your home with us.
NOTE: The kitchen faucet leaks when the hose is out of the cradle. I could not tell if it was leaking when it was in place but I fear it is leaking down the wall and may cause permanent damage.
Great for a group
Very well located in a private setting but close to shopping.
Well equipped kitchen and dining so that we can have dinners together in house.
Lots of space for a big group of people.
We fully enjoyed our stay and looking forward to coming back.
Great place, great location. We’ll be back.
Close to downtown and Woodland Park. Plenty of room.
Great location; easy drive to Glacier National Park
My siblings and I greatly enjoyed our stay here for our annual reunion. It was very close and convenient to local shops and restaurants and to Glacier National Park. There was lots of space for the eight of us to “spread out”. We also enjoyed walking to Woodland Park which was just a couple of blocks away, where we fed the ducks and geese and meandered through the beautiful flower gardens. We would definitely return here again if we were to decide to revisit this area. Thank you so much for your hospitality.
Comfortable Private space
My husband & I enjoyed our week stay in this house. It was clean, well stocked with blankets/towels/fans etc.. The beds were comfortable and the neighborhood quiet at night. I would recommend this house and stay here .
Less than 30 miles from GNP
20 Miles from two ski resorts
Walking distance from downtown, shopping, dinning, spas, library, historical Conrad Mansion, and across the street from Woodland Park (water and skate park, ice rink and rose garden), church services, annual downtown festivals, famous Flathead Lake and so much more!
