Perfect!!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was ideal! So spacious but cozy too. The kitchen had everything we needed, we just supplied the food. Very clean. So welcoming. We had a long weekend with our three college-aged boys, and it was wonderful. We sat on the screened in porch any time we weren't enjoying the spacious yard. So private. The creek was low but still gurgled for us and was a real treat right outside of the cabin. We loved the antiques and "cabin" feel even though the cabin felt more like a home. We are ready to move in, if it ever is sold!!! :) Absolutely a wonderful choice. Our family would highly recommend this VRBO!! Thanks for sharing with us!!

Much better than expected.

Our 50th wedding anniversary trip with our children needed a larger cabin for our week-long stay. Everything was clean and well cared for. We especially appreciated the handwritten notes at various places throughout the cabin that gave directions for operating appliances & the indoor fireplace. The notes, flyers, and notebook supplied ideas for daytime excursions . The lack of cellphone service made it feel more like "camping" for us. WiFi and a landline gave us the necessary connections with the "outside world." Some of the reasons we choose this cabin was the nearby stream, enough bedrooms for our family, and the screened-in porch. The weather was pleasant, but the "many" games could have occupied us had it rained. We often used the outside fire-ring for campfire cookouts. We give this cabin highest recommendations!

Lovely retreat in the woods

  • 5 of 5

This was a wonderful house located very close to the George Washington National Forest and a short drive away from the Shenandoah River National Park. The house was roomy and comfortable with a great screened in porch overlooking the creek (which was a little bit low at the time). The creek being low probably was a blessing in disguise because it got us to explore more around the area which is a beautiful part of the Mountains. I highly recommend this rental property.

Property was perfect! Very quaint and private.

Owner had everything we needed and really went the extra mile stocking the house with ways to entertain ourselves. Woods was even chopped and ready for use for outside fires. It really felt like a home away from home.

The property and setting is Beautiful!

My family had a great time at "The Cabin at Trout Run". We all enjoyed the creek behind the house. My girls were happy just being there and not traveling. I recommend staying here and will definitely come back.

Most pleasant

  • 5 of 5

This place is wonderful, only two things should be mentioned though they didn't bother us: The internet connection is slow at times and during the summer months there is a Christian summer camp across the river.

And the cabin is actually larger than it appears in those pictures.
