Stayed here for a week in late September and had such a relaxing time. The villa is tucked away down a small lane, very quiet and private with a view of the ocean. The villa is very well equipped and we felt really at home from the moment we arrived. Manuel is so helpful, always on hand if needed. We would definitely return and recommend to friends.
Great Villa, great owner,great experience.
This is a really great villa - well designed, comfortable and in an excellent location, if you prefer to be without traffic and people congestion, even in high season. We travelled with our two mature sons so the lay out of the villa was particularly suitable - the master suite in particular was a real plus. I will not describe the villa in detail because the photo's provided on the website give a great and accurate impression of the villa.
The pool is a 'proper' pool so you adults can have a decent swim but it is still very child friendly with a variable depth.
The Villa is well equipped throughout with attractive furnishings. But the real asset is that Manuel includes a mid week clean and the simple act of having another load of clean towels and bedding is a treat. On that point plenty of towels are provided to satisfy any format of group.
Perhaps best of all is that the owner, Manuel, is on the ball from day 1. His response time and follow up to enquiries is within hours. On arrival he welcomes you personally and explains not only the Villa but where to eat, shop and visit. Most important, he is simply one hell of a nice guy.
My sons were so impressed they are taking about returning on their own with friends in the future.
Thank you Manuel.
Thank you very much for the wonderfull review, is very nice from you.
I wish you all the best.
Lovely Family Villa....
During our 10 day stay the villa comfortably accommodated four adults and two children. Upon our arrival Manuel welcomed us and kindly advised on local amenities including recommended shops, restaurants, beaches etc.
The villa was found to be clean and as pictured - consisting of a fantastic outdoor seating area and pool.
The villa is located ~20min drive from nearby Sintra and ~5min drive to the nearest beach. Car hire is recommended to make the most of accessing all the fantastic sights the Sintra and Lisbon region offers.
Overall the villa is good value for money and we would recommend it to anyone looking for a quite and relaxing holiday.
thank you for the review.
A perfect venue to spend some quality time.
This is a property that met our every need. Out of Lisbon but close enough to get to and enjoy all it has to offer. Manuel is an excellent host he has all the insider knowledge so essential when time is of the essence. The villa, comfortable in every way, is close to some excellent beaches, with restaurants and bars and is just 20 minutes away from Sintra - the castle and palace a must visit. Thank you Manuel we have saved
Beautiful and relaxing home
I can't say enough good things about this home. It was very clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The view of Pena Palace and the Atlantic Ocean were great. We especially enjoyed sitting on the upper terrace watching the gorgeous sunsets.
The owner couldn't have been nicer. He met us at the house upon our arrival and gave us maps and tips on the area. He even wrote down some wines for my husband to try.
We enjoyed touring during the day and then coming to this lovely place in the late afternoon to relax on the patio.
Couldn't have been nicer.
Thank you for your nice review.
All the best
Great villa, just like the pictures
Like others have stated Manuel, the owner, could not have been more helpful. Great advice on where to go and what to eat.
Sintra is not far and there are other nice places to visit both north and east but you will need a car. Villa was clean, safe and had everything we needed for our stay. It was a bit early in the year to use the pool but we did have blue sky and warm weather and managed to use the patio area. The local village is spread out and not one you would walk around but does have shops to get your daily provisions. Sintra also has a regular train to Lisbon and good parking at no cost. Only surprise is that in general the surrounding area is not a highly cultivated area given the great weather, pretty much left for nature to reclaim. I just wanted to get into the fields, remove some weeds and plant some tomatoes :-) I assume this will change over time.
If you do stay in the property it is worth visiting Moinho Iberico - walking distance. Not much to look at outside but excellent meats and very good price. A lot of other restaurants could learn from focusing on the food and not the image. Check out tripadvsor.
So assuming you have decided that the Sintra area is where you want to vacation and you are planning on having a car then I would recommend Casa de Pedra.
Thank you for the review.
next time please explore a bit more. lots to see and to do in the area around
