We are so pleased we chose this lovely apartment. We had a wonderful warm welcome from Giovanna & Francesco, they even met us from the bus station and took us to the apartment. It is in a wonderful location, a good size, very clean and pretty.
We enjoyed sitting around the big dining table (6 adults) in the large open plan kitchen/diner. The beds were very comfortable, the linen was very good quality. The weather turned cold, but there were plenty of bed covers to keep us warm. Heating was extra, but the owners were fair and took meter readings and invited us to look at the meter.
Around the corner is a bread shop, there is little shop selling cheese, water, wine etc across the road.
We recommend you hire bicycles, ride around the wall. We also found a busy and very reasonably priced local restaurant, 5 minute walk, Trattoria da Leo, near Piazza Del Salvatore, plenty of atmosphere. We found Lucca to be one of the nicest places we have visited in Italy and we have been to quite a few cities. It is very clean and hospitable. We hope to return one day and would stay in this super apartment. Thank you Giovanna & Francesco.
We stayed at Apartment Puccini for 8 nights in December with a family of 6. It was the perfect base for exploring Tuscany and Cinque Terre. The apartment was lovely, well equipped, near fabulous cafes and restaurants, on a quiet street, and very comfortable. And Giovanna was incredibly sweet and helpful. We hope to stay here again soon!
Can't say enough about the charming "Puccini Apartment"! We stayed here with another family--four adults and two children in total. It was the ideal base for visiting Tuscany (though one could easily just stay in Lucca for the week!). Warm, cozy, and fully equipped for a week's stay. Giovanna was a superb hostess-- so kind and attentive--easy to work with from the start. We would certainly stay here again! Grazie mille, Giovanna!

Negatives: climb to 3rd floor might be a problem for some people, but these 6 young seniors handled it well
We had a wonderful experience while in Lucca's Puccini apartment. It is located in a quiet area, close to shopping, coffee shops, & within walking distance (5 minutes) to the train station. Loved it! Owners were always accomendating. Since there was five of us there was a little trouble with hot water for showers in the mornings otherwise it was perfect.
We could not have been happier here. Giovanna was gracious from our first correspondence to checkout. She was always friendly and available to assist us with whatever we needed. We were 5 ladies, mom, tow daughters and two granddaughters. The place was perfect! Beautifully decorated, spotless and fully equipped with everything we needed. The location was perfect!! Lucca ended up being our favorite location after 3 weeks in Italy. We look forward to visiting again very soon. Thank you Giovanna and Francesco!!!
This lovely apartment is a wonderful way to experience Lucca and its surrounding areas. Lucca is still a relatively uncrowded city with many one-of-a-kind shops, good restaurants and beautiful architectural vignettes at every turn. Its spectacular walls, where everyone should have a walk at sunset, are a treasure to behold. It is a city of bicycles, the preferred mode of transportation, frequent train and bus service to Florence, Pisa and the Tuscan shore makes Lucca a very desirable base for exploring this area of Tuscany.Special car rental rates with possibility of pickup: at the airport and drive to your property. Possibility of guided tours of the town of Lucca, its villas, and special tours in the countryside. Chauffeur with a 6 seats bus available for special tours in the region.
