This 2 bedroom apartment is located just minutes drive from Sandy Lane and the white sandy beaches of the platinum West Coast of Barbados. Crystal Court is a secure gated community which features a large swimming pool, floodlit tennis-court and a club-house all set in well tended landscaped gardens with palm and mango trees. The apartment is a modern chic two-bed condominium which has been tastefully and elegantly furnished featuring 2 large double bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed and the second bedroom has two twin beds. The apartment has 1.5 bathrooms, an open plan kitchen, living and dining room and front and rear balconies. The lounge features a TV (with cable), and a DVD player. The apartment is fully equipped with a microwave, kettle, toaster, all crockery and utensils, you will need, washing machine, iron and ironing board! Beaches, restaurants, shops and amenities are within a 5 minute drive. The capital Bridgetown and airport is just 20 minutes away!
I've searched for a long time online for accomodation in Barbados then stumbled on this gem. Lovely 2 bedroomed apartment, tastefully decorated and equipped with everything you would need for a holiday. In a nice secure development on the West Coast. Will book again.
After a 12 hour journey we arrived at Crystal Court and not only were we not met as arranged,we were unable to gain access to the complex as we had been given the wrong security number for the electronic gates.Hi Tob
We had to wait outside for 40 minutes until a resident of the complex arrived home from work and allowed us in.
We then found the apartment but again could not get in as we did not have the keys. As we had not yet bought a SIM card we could not call the owners agent so had to wait another 15 minutes until another guest staying in the complex unlocked the Clubhouse so we could phone the agent.20 minutes later they arrived and showed us in the apartment.
If you need to use the toilet and have a wash/shower after a long journey, be sure to bring your own soap and toilet paper as there is absolutely nothing supplied in this apartment,even the salt and pepper pots were empty. No cleaning products,liquid soap,scouring pads,detergents or dish cloths were supplied,we spent over £30 that evening just on cleaning products, and we certainly needed them.
Although the place looks clean and bright when you first enter, it doesn't take long to realise the place hasn't had a good clean for a long time.
Under the bed was thick of dust and fluff and when we stripped the supposed 'king' size bed to wash all the bed sheets and pillowcases after the first night as they looked a bit grubby and had a stale smell about them, well we wished we hadn't after we saw the state of the mattress and pillows. The mattress was heavily stained with bodily fluids as were the pillows. After we had washed all the bedding including the mattress protective cover we then doubled up on all the sheets, covers and pillowcases after turning the mattress over which was slightly better underneath.
Whatever previous reviews have said about Wi-Fi availability, well this apartment has never had internet access or Wi-Fi for over 2 years,we were told this by the office manager in the Clubhouse, and despite the agent saying she would get it connected within a day or two, we still never got it.
Good points: It was cheap!
Good fridge and A/C in the bedroom is a relief as the lounge has only ceiling fans.
Good washing machine and plenty of hot water which was needed to get the place in a reasonable condition.
Security deposit was quickly refunded.
Not as described! There is no WiFi in the apartment even though the advert says there is. The local letting agent Glendora said the wifi router in the kitchen no longer worked as the owner had stopped paying for it! There is wifi in the clubhouse and pool area which has never been designed to cover the apartments in the complex. The complex Receptionist told me it is in the owners contract that if they want wifi in their apartment they have to provide their own system. When I complained about this to the owner he was dishonest, evasive and not in the least helpful and takes ages to respond. Even if you are not bothered about the WiFi be warned tharpt if you do have an issue you may not get the help you would normally expect.
Arrived Christmas Day.... was allowed to check in early which was helpful. Nice & clean. Good aircon. Wifi. Nice furnishings. Very good value compared to prices around the island. Easy to deal with owners. Loved Barbados, was out everyday. Had a hire car which made exploring easy. Will book if available when next in Barbados.
Place is nice area. We were happy with that.
Supermarket is close. Only 5 mins by car.
There is no extra trush bags n no laundry detergent. We had to buy them.
We couldn't get wifi in the room. We had to go to the pool area when we needed to use. Because office business hour is really short.
We didn't have chance to talk with them.
We had many plans n tours everyday. We left before 9am.
Bed wasn't good mattress. My husband had backache n shoulder too n needed to take a med.
Owner is super slow to reply n sometime no reply. During stay, I asked about wifi. It was quick response.
About deposit refund, it was super slow.
It was over 2 weeks after we left Barbados. I called HomeAway customer service center n they had to contact to him n finally we got refund.
Apartment pool water temperature was too cold. We didn't use any.

We enjoyed a wonderfull holiday (more then 2 weeks) in this lovely apartment. Communication and to achieve of this apartment was well organized from homeowner. We are 2 persons (54y age), but it was spacious enough also for 2 with 2 children. The apartment was clean, well equipped, applied and not to hot, because the location is on heights.
There is no better way (in this price range) to travel and stay in Barbados!! We had a car for all the time there, it is important. But you stay in the traffic middle of Barbados and it is always not to far to go to one of this wonderfull beaches arround the island. We used also the swimmingpool and spent there more than one afternoon. The favorite space at the apartment was the balcony. For lunch you can go to chefette - a very good fast food restaurant (Chicken-potato-roti !!) everywher on the island and also not to far from apartment. More romantic is the Fisherman`s Pub in Speighstown (20 min. by car) with unexpensive local food in good quality, homemade and it left a clean mark, direct on coastline in the center of town.
There are enough restaurants in Barbados for expensive dinner - take your own choice.
We would absolute recomend this property, if you want discover the island, if you wish to change the beaches for an entertainig stay and at the same time you will enjoy a cultivated stay environment.
There is no cause for a complaint, only if you drink a filter coffee, take your own pot. We hope to spend one more holiday in this apartment again.

An excellent location for exploring Barbados. Beautiful sandy beaches are nearby on the West Coast including Sandy Lane, Paynes Bay, Hole town, Mullins Bay, Speightstown. For Golf - Sandy Lane golf course is a 5 minutes drive. Royal Westmoreland Club is 20 minutes drive away. minutes drive. There are many restaurants within easy driving distance including The Cliff, Lone star, Cocomos, Mannies, & the Fish pot.
Golf: Golf - Sandy Lane golf course - 5 minutes drive. Royal Westmoreland Club (members only) 20 minutes drive. Rockley golf club - 20 minutes drive.
