About Owner/Property Manager

I am the owner and manager of 2 rental properties on the island. I take great pride in personally cleaning and maintaining the properties. I will meet you at the dock and help you with your luggage and groceries and give you a tour of the island on the way to the house. I do not live on the island but have a wonderful group of people who can assist me when I am not on the island.

Why Owner/Property Manager chose Florida

North Captiva Island is a hidden paradise on the gulf coast of Florida. Everyone who come here to vacation falls in love with the island and want to return. The beaches are gorgeous and the sunsets magnificent. It is very quiet and quaint with NO CROWDS AND NO TRAFFIC, only golf carts. It is a special romantic getaway where you can reconnect with your spouse or spend quality time with your family and make memories that will last a lifetime. My number one recommendation while on the island is to rent a boat for the day or 1/2 day. There are many little islands surrounding North Captiva Island and you can have lunch on one island and go shelling on another.

What makes this house unique

The private pool and hot tub is a must. The roof top deck has beautiful views of the gulf while relaxing on lounge chairs. Golf cart is included with rental.

Amazing OASIS!

Loved, loved, loved this place. First time to North Captiva but plan to come annually after such a perfect vacation. The house is clean and well maintained. Great communication with the property management when we had questions. Highly recommend visiting this LITTLE OASIS !!!

Nice, cozy place. North Captiva is great.

  • 4 of 5

We had a nice stay in the Little Oasis. It was cozy and had all the amenities we needed. The listing was accurate and we got what we expected. The sleeping arrangement for 6 people was a bit cramped, but we weren't there just to sleep. Communication with Marie, the owner, was easy and we felt like we were well taken care of. This is our 3rd trip to North Captiva in the last 4 years. The island is great! It is quiet, relaxing and teeming with wildlife. And the beaches covered with shells. We had a wonderful trip.

Relaxing

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful long weekend. Booking made simple, check in was worry free and everything I expected. We had to change the arrival time NCC switched to a later time without issue. This was our third time visiting the island, each property we have stayed at has given us a different experience. After staying at The Little Oasis for our twentieth anniversary, we would definitely stay here again. Very private, clean, quiet, and extremely close to the beach. We enjoyed the private pool, well stocked kitchen, jacuzzi, screened porch, and the close proximity to the beach. The only advice I would give is don't go to Mangoes hungry. This was the second time we tried to have lunch ( I will usually give a second chance) on arrival and the wait for food is extremely long. After almost two hours we gave up and fixed lunch at the house. Boat drinks were on spot.

Little oasis there aren't words to describe this place but I'll do my best

  • 5 of 5

I seriously contemplated on giving this review one star just so nobody would ever go here and know about this paradise. I don't even know where to start but the second you get to the ferry to go to the island your trip off the grid begins then. First of all the people that run the ferry that takes you to the island are fantastic they all seem to enjoy their job and are genuinely happy and more than helpful. The ferry ride over was great, amazing view especially as you start seeing the island getting closer and closer. A lot of the people we talked to on the ferry were repeat visitors so they were getting us pumped up before we even got there with all their stories. Once we got to the island it was a nonstop surreal experience! We had our golf

Cart waiting for us there with our name on it and easy directions to the house. Marie was unable to meet us on our arrival but she went above and beyond making it more than easy to get settled! It was like she was there anyways plus we kind of liked the adventure on our own. The sunsets were prob the most beautiful I have ever seen especially from the roof where we went every night to watch it. The house was immaculate the bed was probably the most comterable bed I have ever slept in. The hot tub was great at night but it was still chilly at night so no pool. But honestly we didn't even notice because of everything else. The beach was amazing and the restaurants which are only a couple on the island were equally as amazing! If you don't notice the pattern with this review pretty much everything is completely and utterly amazing lol. The only hiccup we had on our trip was we weren't having luck with the golf carts for our travel. The first day we got to the house plugged the golf cart in for about an hour and went to explore but the cart ended up dying about 15-20 mins later. Called Marie she had another cart for us on site we used that at night to go to dinner the next morning went to meet the captain for an order I placed got back to the cart wouldn't move. Went to the pool bar where I was stuck called Marie she was on the next ferry over an hour later to take care of us! You couldn't ask for a better person to rent from! She got us a new cart and fixed the old and everything was perfect! Sad to leave but the day after we got back Marie emailed and said she was refunding a 150 for the mishap with the carts and we hadn't said a word about it after! when that 150 comes it's going right into our return fund!

Pure Paradise

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I went to North Captiva Island for our honeymoon, and we will definitely be returning! The Little Oasis was the perfect house for us and it was so nicely kept! Beautiful home with everything you need for a relaxing getaway. Marie was wonderful and had a whole binder of tips and things to do on the island. We went during what is considered 'slow' season, and it was un-seasonably warm with temps in the mid 80s the entire trip! I've never been to a more beautiful place in my life. The only sounds you would hear were the birds and the ocean and it was almost like you were on a private island because no one else was there! We would take walks on the beach and travel around the island, in the golf cart that she provides, and wouldn't see more than a couple people. SO private, relaxing, and amazing. The only complaint we had was nothing to do with our rental home, but that the restaurants closed very early, opened late, or weren't open at all but that is to be expected during the slow season! You literally live in your swim suite and her pool is beautiful and private. It was very hard to leave The Little Oasis, you won't regret your trip here...or want to say goodbye!

Our "Finally" Honeymoon

  • 4 of 5

Stumbled upon this little gem while searching for places to take our honeymoon. We weren't really finding the secluded and relaxed feel we were wanting while looking at Sanibel and Captiva. We were drawn to the idea of no vehicles and shopping malls.

The house was in great shape. One of the only places with a privacy fence around the pool. The observation deck was a great feature early in the mornings and late evenings. There's even a little beach view. Don't forget first aid items! The local store is limited and very pricey.

While the preserve on the island was pretty cool we enjoyed the beach by the house much more. If you're wanting to rent kayaks I suggest Barnacle Phils over NCIC. The prices are better and more choices on the kind of kayak.

Overall, we had a great time. It was relaxing and the house was great! I think the best feature is the fenced in pool with the outdoor bed!
