Enumclaw Chalet Rental Photos and Description

Charming Mountain Chalet 3 bd/2 ba, Hot Tub, Tipi and Fire Pit!

This is the perfect getaway for a romantic weekend, family vacation or holiday retreat, nestled against the mountainside and 3.7 acres of wooded forest. Breathe in the fresh mountain air while enjoying the peace and tranquility of the area or indulge in the many activities the Pacific Northwest has to offer. This charming mountain chalet is located just 12 miles outside the Sunrise Entrance to Mount Rainier National Park and 20 minutes to Crystal Mountain Ski Resort. Spend the day skiing nearby Crystal Mt. or enjoying the best view of Mt. Rainier and lunch from the top of Crystal Mountain’s gondola. Return home and relax in the hot tub or in front of the gas fireplace while watching a movie. Enjoy the beautiful outdoors while you roast marshmallows around the large stone fire pit or cook a meal on the outdoor grill. Feel free to explore or camp out in the new tipi with 2 queen beds. Sit back and watch the local herd of elk wander the community or take a short walk down to the glacial fed White River.

This cabin has the charm of a mountain chalet with all modern amenities. Log furniture and lodge decor warm the cottage and make your stay memorable. The kitchen has just been remodeled and new hardwood floors throughout! There are 2 large bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs, each with skylights and huge windows. One of these bedrooms has an additional double futon for the kids. Downstairs is the main living area with bathroom/laundry room and 1 bedroom. This charming cottage sleeps six adults and two children. Come explore the beautiful Cascades from this peaceful escape.

We are a pet friendly establishment and we do welcome pets for a non-refundable fee of $35 for each pet, per stay.

Because we do not charge a rental deposit, the VRBO 'Property Damage Protection' rental insurance is additional on the occupancy of five or more adults. That is an additional cost of $49.00 for $1500.00 of damage coverage. It is purchased through VRBO upon checkout and payment of your rental.

Single nights may be available at a slightly higher nightly rate. Please ask manager for details.

The Eagle's Nest is on the same property and is available to rent, http://www.vrbo.com/463359. Both units share the hot tub, tipi and fire pit.

About Gary

I love the peaceful mountain setting and abundance of outdoor activities that this area has to offer. My family and I have enjoyed skiing, hiking and mountain biking around this area for the past 20 years. Come and explore all that this gorgeous mountain lifestyle has to offer.

Gary purchased this chalet in 2012

Why Gary chose Washington

Watch the elk wander by and you enjoy the large hot tub, sit and warm yourself by the large fire pit on cool evenings or take a short walk to the river and relax. The Elk Crossing Chalet will be the most relaxing and exciting vacation that you'll be talking about for years! We hope to see you soon!

What makes this chalet unique

We love to have family gatherings around the fire pit, playing in the snow or hiking amongst the beautiful wildflowers. The Rainier Gondola at Crystal Mountain offers some of the most spectacular views of Mt. Rainier and offers wonderful dinner dining during the summer months. Take a beautiful, leisurely drive on the hundreds of miles of Forest Service Roads for spectacular views of Mt. Rainier.

Beautiful property, cozy and welcoming house

  • 5 of 5

We had an amazing time staying here. It was our first time visiting Washington and we feel so lucky we were able to find this hidden gem. The woman who owns this property was extremely welcoming and gave us lots various information on hiking trails and other things to do in the area. We also enjoyed using the hot tub and fire pit every night of our stay.

Perfect Rainier Stay

  • 5 of 5

A great place to stay. You can hike all day and return to the quiet and cool of the home. We spent a day at the home doing absolutely nothing. Just relaxing. Kids loved it. Loved it. Owner is very kind and provided great tips on hiking trails nearby. Both hikes were fantastic and did not wipe us out either.

Tip: grab groceries at the Safeway in Enumclaw and then enjoy the home as it is indeed a home. No running around around to buy this and that. The home has it all for cooking and serving. Get marshmallows, graham crackers and chocolate bars for tasty s'mores in the awesome fire ring onsite.

Work project, with some mountain biking mixed in

  • 5 of 5

We had a great experience staying at the Elk Crossing. The host was very accommodating to all of our unique needs, and house was exceptional. While at the crossing, we were fortunate to see a gang of approximately fifty elk, which was incredible! Only a few miles south, offers some amazing mountain biking. While there I was able to ride the Ranger Creek and Palisade Trails, which were great! I would recommend staying at the Elk Crossing, and look forward to coming back again.

Family trip - small kids, parents and grandparents

  • 5 of 5

This place was amazing. They thought of every last comfort and adorable decoration in the home and were incredibly nice to our entire family. My daughter LOVED playing in the teepee, big back yard, seeing elk multiple times a day and the giant fire pit with wood supplied! We visited the river, Naches Tavern and were about an hour from the breathtaking Paradise and Sunset Mt. Rainier main stops. There was also a playground, horses and basketball with balls supplied just down the street. And adults loved the hot tub!! We will definitely be back amd thank you for your kindness!

A very nice chalet in the woods

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed this nice place in the quiet, secluded mountains. We went for a walk in the morning and saw a herd of Elk up close not far from the chalet.

Cozy Convenient and Close!

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful find! Every think you need an cozy to boot!! Just minutes away from the slopes of Crystal mountain, but even if we weren't skiers we would gladly go back. We had 3 of our adult children and their significant others with us. We took nice walks, mingled with the wild elk (although be careful the momma's are quite protective), hot tubbed, ate, drank and loved being in this very quiet and warm environment. You want for nothing...although if you have forgotten anything, the general store down the road is sparsely stocked!! The beds were so cozy, and the entire home was well equipped. We will definitely be back!! The neighborhood dog loves a good romp with the ball. He is usually out on the street if you want to take a walk! I highly recommend. Thank you for sharing your home with our family. Oh...not that his should be a factor but the wifi and direct tv were very good. We used it primarily to stream music on our computer but if you need it , it is nice and fast. See you soon!!! Karen and Mike.
