We enjoyed our visit and found all to be fine. The only complaint I have is that when you pay about $450. a day to stay and you can't check in until 4PM.....that is inconvenient and seems a bit of a rip.
Green Lakes trail is stunning. GREAT hike!
Lava River Cave and Newberry Obsidian Flow Hike were both amazing!
The house, in general, was very nice. We all were comfortable for the most part and enjoyed staying there. A few minor issues: both propane tanks for the grill were empty or almost empty, so we paid to fill one and thenot the igniter on the grill didn't work so we had to manually start it with an external flame. There were plenty of extra towels, pillows and even beds, but no extra sheets or pillow cases. I called right away about this on our arrival but got no response. Finally, it was a very hot weekend (almost triple digits) but were able to keep the house fairly comfortable during the day by keeping things closed up, but it was still warm. We had two infants with us so when it finally cooled off in the evening we wanted to open up the house to get some airflow. This is when we discovered that several of the windows had no screens. Including the sliding door to the deck. This was especially a problem due to the hornets nest under the deck not too far from the door.
If you are looking for a nice private getaway, this is the place. We enjoyed it and will be back.
House is very clean and comfortable. There are neighbors but lots of trees and spacing to make this location very private.
2 things need addressed -
1. Hot tub cover is thrashed and the foam bits fall into the hot tub. The cover also fills up with water and is very heavy to lift.
2. We were unable to get the oven to work over 175 degrees.
Other than that, the place is AWESOME!!!
We will be staying here again next year.
