About Shannon Thorson

I've lived in McMinnville since 1994. The restoration completed on this home is an example of the design and remodel work that I now enjoy doing as a full-time business.

I have one son who's 12 and enjoy painting, kayaking, hiking, and watching my son's sporting events!

Shannon Thorson purchased this bungalow in 2004

Why Shannon Thorson chose Willamette Valley Oregon

I restored this 1912 house in 2004 and love each and every inch of it.

It's a pleasure to preserve it and offer it to new friends.

What makes this bungalow unique

The house is so warm and cozy! I'm sure you'll enjoy going out for food and drink, but you can have an equally enjoyable time just hanging out with a great glass of wine.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Just wanted to say thank you, we had a wonderful time in McMinnville and the house was one of the big reasons why. Really cute and convenient. We actually spent a lot of time on the front porch just enjoying the sun and taking in the neighborhood. Hope we make it back again sometime.

Conveniently located

  • 5 of 5

This house is in a great location, only a couple of blocks from down town. It is very clean with comfortable beds. It also has off street parking which is nice. There was a nice bottle of wine to greet us in the house upon our arrival and a few snacks for the morning. It is centrally located to the vineyards in the area.

Lovely house in McMinnviille

  • 4 of 5

This was a lovely house in McMinnville but on Baker Street which is very BUSY and noisy. The house had all the amenities that were needed and having the washer and dryer was perfect. Bed was great. My only concern was the noise from the street.

Great place right downtown.

  • 4 of 5

I stayed here with my family a week or two ago. The place was an old house with great charm and most importantly right downtown. Walking distance to everything! It was clean and everything it was supposed to be. The house had about all the things needed. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was two things. One it has one bathroom that was between two bedrooms. There was no way but through a bedroom to get to the bathroom. Not a huge deal but a little odd. The other was the quiet hour rules. I didn't know about this in advance or I probably wouldn't have stayed here but there are quiet hours between 10PM and 9AM. Naturally, my aging mother can't be bothered to follow rules and gets up early and makes lots of noise in the kitchen. It was really a very nice charming home in a great location. Thanks for having us. I would stay here again.
