Enjoy Asheville as a local! Stay just minutes to downtown Asheville, 1 mi to the gates of Biltmore Estate, & 10 min drive to the Blue Ridge Pkwy. In the heart of all that Asheville offers!

Historic Asheville neighborhood that was designed by Olmstead. Our street is primarily arts and crafts bungalows built in the 1920's as homes for the railroad workers. Ours is truly the neighborhood that most closely resembles Asheville's local culture. Neighbors are family here and it is not uncommon for neighbors to speak to our guests (and assume you are our family!).

This is our primary residence, so you will enjoy a fully stocked home with all you need to arrive and relax! We rent our home only when we are traveling ourselves. Bedrooms are as follows with all new mattresses in March 2016:

Master Suite - Queen bed, Master bath with stand-alone clawfoot tub, and laundry room attached

Bedroom #1 - smaller with full bed. More of a "boy" room

Bedroom #2 - larger with a twin bed and nice hide-away trundle (trundle has same Serta mattress as twin bed and sleeps well). More of a "girl" room.

We are happy to leave some toys out for your stay, if you let us know. We have board games and books in the home at all times.

Absolutely NO SMOKING anywhere on the property.

Dogs welcomed by pre-approval only and should be on current flea and tick preventative (Pet fee is $75 to be paid upon arrival).

4 legged family members provided with:

• Towels for dirty paws and post-trail showers

• Doggie bowls

• Plastic bags for pet waste

• Large kennel by request

Requests of you:

• Clean all dog hair before you depart (vacuum provided)

• Wash any dog towels used.

• Do not let your pets urinate inside. Cleaner provided for emergencies.

• Pick up pet waste and dispose of with provided plastic bags

• Have your pets on the proper flea and tick treatment before arriving

We live on a quiet street with lovely neighbors. No parties or loud gatherings, please.

Park vehicles in the driveway at all times as our street in narrow.

HAVE FUN!! Enjoy our amazing little mountain town and our home!

About Owner/Property Manager

We are a family of 4 that loves adventure! We live in a fantastic place to explore and be outdoors on a daily basis on bike, trail, and water... but we have wanderlust that won't stop calling. We love to travel to places near and far. We host guests in our personal home when we travel. As hosts, we hope to provide our guests with advice and recommendations that will have them exploring Asheville like a local, all while relaxing in our sweet little home in the best neighborhood in town. We welcome children and pups because traveling as a family has made our lives richer, and given us priceless memories together.

Our home is right in the middle of all Asheville has to offer. You are truly minutes to anything you might want to do downtown, in Biltmore Village, or at the Biltmore Estate, and just minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway. There is not a better location to base your explorations of our awesome mountain town! As a 1927 Bungalow, our home is quintessential old Asheville, with lots of Arts and Crafts style charm. We take great pride in keeping our home modern, clean, and cozy for our guest.

Cozy place, amazing hosts

Walking distance from Biltmore Village. Very short drove to any point of interest. Best part about the place was the amazing hosts. They set us up with great brewery, restaurant, and hike recommendations. They were extremely friendly and accommodating.

Great place to stay

We had a fun girls weekend in Asheville. Misty was great in offering suggestions for dining, sites to see, etc. The home was very clean and welcoming. We have absolutely no complaints. We would highly recommend this home.

Comfortable and well located.

Our stay at the 1920's Bungalow was wonderful! The home was cozy, well furnished and great to come back to after a long day exploring the Asheville area. Our host was very helpful in providing us with lots of information on restaurants (there are lots), sites to see and trails to explore. We would highly recommend staying here and hope to one day return ourselves.

Car: necessary

The Biltmore Estate is the most famous attraction in Asheville, and it is a spectacular day of fun, no doubt. Biltmore Village, just outside the gates to the estate, also offers lots of shopping and eateries with charming atmosphere. All of this is within a mile of your stay here!

However, Asheville has lots more to offer! We Have been named Beer City USA because of all our amazing microbreweries. Most of there breweries are downtown, and/or have a downtown tasting room! All of these are within 1.5 miles , and we happily provide you with all the local favorites - both downtown and elsewhere. The food scene here in Asheville is stellar! There are lots of local favorites that keep a low profile, and we will let you in on all of our favorites! Eating and drinking your way through Asheville truly is a highlight of any trip here. It rivals any famous big city experience, with a much more relaxing atmosphere - and with the entertainment of local culture as a huge bonus.

Anyone who comes to Asheville needs to experience the outdoors. We live in one of the most beautiful places in the world. And, there are countless opportunities and outlets for all kinds of sports - from hiking to rock climbing to cycling. You can also meander the Arboretum to see a robust selection of native plants and wild animals. You can drive the Blue Ridge Parkway and take in views unlike anywhere else in the south! And we are very willing to help you plan a trip that is perfect for your family or friends.

Cancellation Policy:
Bookings canceled at least 60 days before the start of the stay will receive a 100% refund.
Bookings canceled 59 - 30 days before the start of the stay will receive a 50% refund.
Cancellations must be made by 12:00 PM (Central Standard Time) on the appropriate day.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
