Love the cottage , love the neighborhood , great host and all in all a wonderful vacation and easy experience.
Hopefully we will return again next year.
I had such a great time here! The cottage was picturesque and included a lovely fireplace. The rustic charm of the property compliments the beach and the downtown area quiet nicely. This place is perfect for hanging out with friends since the large living room provides plenty of room for socializing and catching up! I look forward to next summer!
The property is nice, good location and the owner is fine other than the problem with security deposit: the owner first delayed getting any of the deposit back to us, then retained about 40% of it and for the explanation said that it took 7 hours to clean and he charged for 3 hours. That charge was ridiculous as our apartment in Brookline gets cleaned for one third that amount and it's the same size. We cleaned the place before leaving other than vacuuming and dusting, washed the dishes and left bottles for recycling and a little bit of fresh food in the fridge. It doesn't cost that much to clean this small cottage and he never showed a receipt. We stayed there for 3 weeks and paid a good chunk of change; the previous summer we rented another cottage from the same owner and didn't have any problem while returning the property in the similar condition. It's not a good way to treat your renters, so be careful in this respect. We offered to pay something, which is also a lot, and the owner did not even care to respond.
