Terrific family beach home that we want to share with your family.
Our home is single family home, with 2nd floor living area and 4 bedrooms and 2 full baths (with tubs) that are all on the 2nd floor. The master bedroom has a queen bed and includes one of the upstairs full bathrooms en suite. We have just updated the once small deck off the master to a larger family size deck. Now the adults can enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or a cold beverage in the evening, or the whole family can enjoy a BBQ dinner or relaxing over a card game. We improved/updated the flow from inside the house to have a hallway directly to the deck (instead of through the master bedroom) - but note this consumed the master closet for now, so we have a nice large armoire in the master to serve as an interim closet. Bedroom two has a queen bed. Bedroom three has two twin captains beds. The fourth bedroom has twin bunk beds and a separate twin bed (sleeps 3). All bedrooms have ceiling fans. The third full bath (shower stall, no tub) is located on the 1st floor off the mud/laundry room that makes for a great stopping point for beach bags and flip flops.
There are two large outdoor shower with changing area to wash off the sand. Also a handy spigot and a hose to wash sand off feet, legs and beach gear.
The backyard is a sufficient open "pebble" yard - room for the kids and adults to toss a football, kick a soccer ball, play a game of whiffle ball, or set up a ring toss or horse shoes.
We have a large two car garage which we will provide access to for your family to store your beach carts, chairs, boards, toys. There is a first floor space "closed off" from the property that was formerly commercial (hence the big windows on the first floor) that is vacant and currently under renovation (no work/renovation during renters stay).
This house is uniquely situated on a beach block, across from the beautiful cedar shake firehouse, a half a block from the 10th Street playgrounds and dog park, and a block from the bay. A short walk to ice cream at Poppy's, a tiny-shopping trip to the Islander store, dinner at Kubel's or Kelly's, or a stroll to the lighthouse.
We are flexible with only a 5 day minimum in the prime summer, for families that want beach a week but not necessarily the whole Saturday-Saturday rigmarole - this leaves a Sunday PM check-in to Friday AM check-out option available to avoid traffic and save some money.
Our family with three young children had been renting for 4 years in Barnegat Light - we enjoyed our family beach time so much that we were blessed to purchase a home.
