Beautiful Property

  • 5 of 5

We just spend five delightful days in this beautiful townhouse. Fall is a great time to visit Rocky Mountain National Park as the aspens are in their prime and the elk are coming down from the highlands. Our stay at this townhouse made our vacation absolutely great. The location is great and the home is extremely well equipped with everything you need. Because of the location you can enjoy both sunrises and sunsets over they mountains. We will certainly stay here again if it's available.

Practically Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

This home is immaculate, clean, large, and in an excellent location. The neighborhood was quiet and we awoke on two occasions to a large herd of Elk in our back yard! Everything is provided, from linens, to dishware, to a crock pot, etc. It was nice to have flat screens and Dish in the bedrooms, as well.

Immaculate home. Fully stocked kitchen. Full sized washer and dryer. Linens and towels provided. Quiet neighborhood just a few min walk from Lake Estes. Elk, hummingbirds and swallows visit often. Beautiful view from upper deck. Would stay here again.

Management packed our stuff in garbage bags!

  • 3 of 5

There was a snafu with my credit card transaction at the fault of VRBO. Instead of contacting me first about the issue, the management decided to pack all of our stuff in large garbage bags. They locked us out of the property while we were hiking in RMNP. A courtesy phone call to me before packing all of our personal belongings into garbage bags would have been much appreciated by us.

Nevertheless, the condo itself is as described. Nice facility. Great place to stay in Estes Park. Clean with new appliances. Great location. It is close to restaurants, stores, and RMNP. Better communication from management would have made this property a gem.

Owner's Response: This is a poor forum for such an issue. You disputed the charges for your stay and received half your rent back under the mistaken thought that you were double billed. You did not contact VRBO regarding the matter or you would have discovered you were in error and that you were not double billed. As the manager, I tried to call you but the number on your reservation was in error (disconnected). I explained all of this to you in person and even showed you the transactions on the VRBO site. Mistakes do happen but this time it was on your part.

Post Xmas vacation

  • 4 of 5

Our family loved staying at Murray's Hangar! The space was very accomodating to 5 adults. The kitchen is a dream - well stocked and beautiful. Although the location does not seem ideal, the view from the back porches is really beautiful. We did not go to the lake, but it's nice that it's so close by. The heated floors in the bathroom and kitchen are truly wonderful.

My tips for the owners would be to put a very long runner rug by the front door to accomodate many wet and snowy boots in the winter. A bigger rug by the back doors would be wise as well. We hated to make a mess. Also, as described by previous reviews, the garage is uber small. We did fit a Subaru and Jeep, but had to back out the Jeep before our family could get in. Not a big deal.

The close access to Rocky Mountain National Park was such a bonus. We snowshoed on some great trails. We rented some of the snowshoes from a company 2 minutes from the condo for only $5/day.

My biggest beef that required only a 4 star rating was the piling on of a cleaning fee, liability insurance fee AND the requirement of a credit card for additional liability. Really? I was very uncomfortable sending a scan with my credit card info with a signature. That has never been a requirement in previous VRBOs that I've booked.

Overall though, we had a very nice experience!

Owner's Response: Thanks for the idea on some rug runners etc. We will definitely look into that especially for winter rentals. We do try to keep our home in tip top condition which is why we have the cleaning fee. We also do not want to overcharge in our daily rate to make up for the cost of cleaning our home I hope you understand how we are trying to strike an equitable balance for our guests. Please do come again.

Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

The condo was exactly as described. Beautiful, clean and nice views. We went with our grown kids and they were able to occupy the upper level & had their own privacy and own deck. We cooked most of the time and the kitchen has everything you need with very nice appliances, cookware, dishes, etc. We brought our bikes and it's just a short ride to Estes Lake bike/walk trail and marina.
