Two story home with 3 bedrooms downstairs and living room and kitchen upstairs
Located just north of Hilo, in the breathtaking Hamakua Heritage Corridor, this property has outstanding views of the Pacific Ocean from every corner! You can watch the sunrise every morning and during whale season you can see and hear the whales breaching and calling. This newly built home is large, comfortable and has all the modern amenities. It is a 2 story home with 3 bedrooms downstairs and the upstairs has the living, dining and full kitchen with double french doors that open to a large Lanai with deck chairs for your fun and relaxation. Grab you favorite drink and enjoy the sweeping ocean view. The year around tread wind keeps this area cooler and less humid than the rest of the island. You can buy island grown fruits and vegetables at the nearby farmer's market and cook delicious meals in our kitchen while looking at the ocean. Our UV- filtered rainwater tastes better than bottled water. Your children will love feeding and petting our friendly sheep on the property. In the evening, you can make yourself comfortable in front of the flat screen HDTV and watch your favorite channel or take advantage of the blue-ray DVD player. With newly updated (3/1/18) internet with WiFi, you can also stay connected to your friends and family..
Built on 2 lush green acres, this home provides you with privacy, security and all the peace and quiet you need. Located close to the Hawaii Belt Road that circles the entire island, it is easy to find at night and convenient for your sight seeing.
Centrally located to both Hilo and Kona and all the major attractions - Hilo 15 minutes, Waimea/Waipio 30 minutes. Famous Akaka Falls Park and Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden are only minutes away. It is a drive away to the most visited Volcano National Park and the beautiful Black Sand beach.
There are many beautiful sites on this island to visit but I assure you that you and your family will end up spending a few days just hanging out in this home. My family is very excited to make our home available to you for your stay on the Big Island. We are offering very low rate to our guests!!! Additional discount is available if you stay 7 days or longer.

Great views from a nice clean remote location...
Very nice place. Worked out nice for our party of 6. Plenty of room in this nice clean home. Great views of the moon coming up over the ocean. Would stay here again!
Thank you for being our guests. Mahalo!
The house is great but the internet is very slow! View of the water is spectacular.
Thank you for choosing our home for your island vacation. Sorry about your Internet experience. I have contacted DISH and upgraded (3/1/18) the service for better speed and capacity.
Big and quiet but needs work
I will say this; there are both positive and negative aspects that my wife and I found in this rental. First, the positive.
There is plenty of space in this home. Downstairs (main floor) there are three bedrooms (one queen bed in master, one full bath in remaining two), a large bathroom and washer/dryer. For a four-member family this is plenty of space. Upstairs is a large kitchen, dining area and living room with a very open layout. There is an upstairs lanai (patio) which is great for the morning sun. The location of the house is very quiet with only the occasional driver on the shared driveway. The house sits about 100 yards from the main road (Hawaii Belt Rd.) but your hardly hear the cars. Very nice from these aspects.
Now, the negatives. Before I list them, I want to say these are easily fixable by the owner if the effort is made. We were given the wrong code for the lockbox containing the key for the house. My wife and I stood in the driving rain but could not get it opened. I tried to call Ashley (the person managing the house for the owner) but no answer. After a while waiting in the car and trying other combos, we had to break the box to get the key. Once inside, there was a heavy odor of mildew. The beds smelled terrible from this problem as did all of towels and kitchen linens. The owner has colored bed and bathroom linens. There is a reason why all hotels, resorts even hospitals use white linens…they can be bleached to remove bacteria and then you would have no odor. We bought some white vinegar to wash the towels and sheets and it helped a little. The internet was less than useless. It’s Dish Satellite and it never worked. I could barely get a Google search to load. The TV is also Dish but only had 15 channels. So fundamentally, we had no internet or TV. Yes, I know we’re on vacation but in the evening we couldn’t relax because we were in the middle of nowhere (quiet, yes) without entertainment. In this day and age of technology, it’s a necessity to have internet. It would be nice to research what we wanted to do tomorrow (like park times, costs, restaurants, etc.) but just couldn’t. Lastly, the hot water wasn’t hot. I could take a comfortable shower with full hot but the dishwasher didn’t work well at all because the water needs to be hotter for the detergent to properly clean the dishes. We had to hand wash all the dishes.
These are easily fixed problems but I wouldn’t stay until the owner does so.
Thank you for your feedback regarding the internet service. I have contacted DISH and upgraded (3/1/18) the service for better speed and capacity.
Ideal Vacation Dream Home
This is my family's second stay in 5 years at this ideal vacation spot and once again we felt right at home. We brought an additional guest with us on this trip and he absolutely loved the home, the privacy, the views and the location. The fragrance of clean as we first walked through the door was welcoming. Yes, the home is difficult to find (as some have posted); however, most homes in Hilo are and for us, this just means privacy. We stopped in Hilo at the Safeway grocery store on our way in from the airport where we picked up groceries for our 2 week stay. (NOTE: Sign up for a Safeway club card at customer service, it will save you money on your groceries) The kitchen in this home is equipped to cook all your own meals. We enjoyed gathering in the kitchen/dining area with the French doors to the lanai open, cooking and eating breakfast as we planned out our days. In the evenings, it was cooking and eating dinner as we discussed our daily outings. Akaka Falls, Hawaii Tropical Botanical Gardens, Carlsmith Beach Park (beautiful friendly sea turtles) South Pointe, Green Sand Beach, Black Sand Beach (more sea turtles), Star of the Sea Painted Church on Hwy 130, Lava Boat Tours out of Isaac Hale Park, Volcano National Park, Hilo Farmer's Market, Mauna Kea Observatory, Waipi'o Valley Lookout and Beach, Laupahoehoe Beach Park, Rainbow Falls, UFO Parasail of Kailua Kona, Big Island Candies, Coqui's Hideaway Restaurant and last but not least, beautiful Coconut Island plus our almost daily visits to Low Store Deli & Fruit Stand on Old Mamalahoa Hwy for refreshing shave ice. While this home is very private and secluded, you can see, there is access to many wonderful island adventures. Coming "home" at the end of each day to a refreshing shower, relaxing while watching movies, comfortable beds with cool evening breezes and the sounds of nature right out our windows was absolutely heavenly. Mahalo to both Tarek and Ashley, we look forward to hopefully doing it all over again in 5 years!!!
Thank you for coming back. It was our pleasure to have you and your famil as our guests.
