Downtown La Conner, along the saltwater Swinomish Channel, has great shopping, dining, antiquing and just plain walking slow and dilly dallying. I started building houses in 1972 and built this one in 2004. We have built and moved many times, this neighborhood is the best.
Jim purchased this house in 2004
The quiet beach community. Beach, and walking, 300 feet to the best beach in the area.
Peace and quiet. Rest and relaxation! WATER VIEWS!!
Spacious, perfectly clean, and well-appointed, this apartment has everything you need. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful, a block from the beach. A wonderful weekend getaway.
Hope Island Suite was a great place to getaway for my husband and me. Lots of room for many guests to stay if you needed that space. The place was clean and well-maintained. We had a hard time getting the internet to work but we did not ask/ call for assistance as it wasn't that important to us, I am sure that Jim would have helped us if we asked.
There isn't a whole lot to do within walking distance, so be prepared to do a little driving to get to food, etc. There is a full kitchen and refrigerator so if you don't want to leave for food make sure to bring what you need. The beach is really close and beautiful... We drove to La Conner for dinner one night and spent the following day in Friday Harbor. The Ferry ride is so worth it, a beautiful trip (cost is for round trip) and the town is fun with good food.
Hope you enjoy your stay, we did! :)
Great accommodations for the price. We only had a two day stay so the $80 cleaning fee seemed quite high to us, particularly since we spent little time there. Owner Jim very helpful.
Very pleasant VRBO. Clean, neat and quiet one bedroom unit with a futon in a separate room. Easy walk to Snee Oosh beach and a short drive to Laconner. Very considerate host. We would defiantly stay here again.
We were impressed from the moment that we walked into this lovely, well-appointed apartment. It was about a hundred yards from a private beach with views of the water and the next island. We would recommend it to anyone who wants a scenic, quiet weekend just a few miles from a charming little town.
The owners live upstairs and are very accommodating..We had personal health issues and unfortunately had to leave early, other wise if you are looking for a somewhat centered location to take wonderful day trips to Seattle, Mt. Baker, Canada (bring your passport) and spend time in the wonderful little town of La Conner this is the place. Unfortunately there was no washer or dryer, and Ironing board. Cel phone service was not what one wants. You have to find the spot in the neighborhood that makes it work so you can have a conversation. The beach is not as close as the picture in the property shows but just 2 blocks straight down hill. The pacific NW is a wonderful place in July, Aug, and Sept and into October.Great weather and wonderful people.
Enjoy your trip.
Beach combing, walking, antiquing, Tulip Festival in April, Art's Alive in November, Farm Tour in La Conner. Boat launch for small boat and trailer, and kayaks, only 300 feet from your suite. Great kayaking.
