Fully equipped kitchen (no dishwasher). 2 AC/HEAT units, new washer/dryer, clothes lines in the back yard. HUGE 6ft private fenced-in back yard. Dogs considered. Freshly painted and restored with original terrazzo floors and user-friendly traditional crank windows.

Why Ric Ryder, Owner chose Florida South Central Gulf Coast

I am the 3rd generation owner of this family house- my grandparents purchased it in1969. My grandfather built the shed in the carport, converted the lanai into a den and built some of the shelves, furniture and cabinetry in the house.

What makes this house unique

My house is in close proximity to everything; so many gulf beaches to choose from (the closest is Manasota-15 minutes in the car, free parking and brand new amenities), 2 miles to Warm Mineral Springs, Punta Gorda, Disney is 2.5 hours away, Sarasota culture, state parks, many restaurants and all shopping needs- it's just 2 blocks off Rt.41/Tamiami Trail.

You'll love my modest little house. The terazzo floors are amazing and it's so quiet you could sleep or relax at any time.

Great place to spend a relaxing time away from the cold 'up North'

Thanks, Ric, for the gift of North Port! We love the house and fenced yard, they work well for us and our dog. Nice, quiet neighborhood.

The house is great; not so new we're afraid to sit down comfortably somewhere because we might ruin something, and not so old it's either uncomfortable or we're afraid we might break something. It was also clean and welcoming when we first walked in.

I have to say that some of the best things for me are the washer and dryer, but especially the clothes line and pins so I can hang out laundry. I feel like I'm cheating on the universe by hanging out laundry in winter. And, of course, the weather is wonderful here!

WiFi is good for keeping in touch, and checking to see the below zero temps at home. It really is beautiful here.

Perfect house, perfect location

Our stay was very pleasant. Small house but everything that we needed was there. The kitchen is so equipped that it has more stuff than our house! Neigbors are friendly and the neiborhood is so quiet that it is almost impossible! We felt very secure when we were staying at this property on Herbison. Police cars are very present, just driving by our street and others. And do I have to talk to you about the manicured lawn and shrubs presentation? Our house was among the best looking of the street if not the best house. We were very proud to live at this place.

The grout in the bathroom was so clean that it seems almost impossible that something this aged was that clear.

There are a bunch of brandnew stores on the 41 highway that are 3 minutes from home. You can find everything nearby!! Thrift stores and nice stores.

Overall we loved our stay. Location is PERFECT. We went everywhere on the coast.

Oh, and the best: Perfect location for dogs owners. There are so many national parks that you can go with your furry friend. Myakka river state park and plenty of other ones. Dog beach in Venice is 25-30 minutes away. I left business cards of a very nice dog siter her name is Nancy Leclair. She came to house house twice to take care of our beloved when we had to be away for a long period. http://nancysvip.org

For the price and the quality of service, I would recommend you to stay at Herbison, North Porth.

Perfect for our visit

We felt like we walked into someone’s home – not a rental property -- which is exactly what its gracious owner wants. This meticulously-cared-for home was a delight -- not only for its access to Florida life but for its inviting draw. Everything you need for your stay is provided with other surprising details: the tiled window sills, that fabulous terrazzo floor, the glorious morning breezes with that crisp, fresh air – and the Internet! After long days visiting friends in Sarasota and Ft. Meyers it was great to leave the congestion for the quiet. Our visit was way, too short.
