Andrew and Courtney are native Houstonians and high school sweethearts who live in the Sugar Land area with their three children.
Andrew & Courtney Spiwak purchased this house in 2012
Andrew & Courtney are natives of the Houston area and both loved to visit Canyon Lake during trips to the Hill Country as kids. They wanted to share their childhood memories of water skiing, boating and swimming in the lake, hiking and visiting surrounding attractions with their children and with others. This property has fantastic views of the lake and sunsets and is close to the attractions.
These two houses are about 300 feet apart and set on 3 secluded acres. Minutes from civilization but you feel like you are in your own world surrounded by nature and a cove. A spring fed creek behind one of the houses leads to a stocked pond. A nest of bald eagles is easily seen by the fishing pond.
We had 7 couples staying in both homes and were very pleased. They left us little baskets in each house and it made it feel very welcoming. We enjoyed the solitude of the location and waking up to the gorgeous lake views. The king beds are super comfortable and the queen rooms were nice as well. Great place to take a break with friends or family! The owners were readily available with any questions. Highly recommend on Canyon Lake. We will return.
Our group had a great little vacation at Eagle's Cove! The houses were very clean, spacious, bed's were comfortable, and the AC blew cold! It's on a large piece of property so no neighbors next door like most other lake houses we've stayed at. We had plenty of room to BBQ, throw the ball around, and relax in the water. It's on a very low trafficked cove and we were able to tie the boat and jet ski's up in the water near the homes overnight. I would highly recommend this rental, and plan on returning in the future. 5 Stars!
There was a total of 11 of us, 4 adults 7 kids between 2 families. It was perfect for our two families to vacation together but have our own space. The kids enjoyed swimming, fishing, and exploring along with all the local activities in Canyon Lake and New Braunsfels.
My group of 10 had a wonderful weekend grilling, swimming in the lake and unwinding. The owner is friendly and responsive.
We had a large group and used both houses. It was a great experience. We had a pontoon boat, ski boat, pedal boat, and a huge inflatable island which we were able to enjoy with no problems. The lake was up due to recent rains, so I don't know where the water's edge would be under normal conditions, but for us, it was a short walk down the hill. Thank you Andrew and Courtney for sharing your wonderful place with us, our children, and our grandchildren.
Our party was 10 adults and 3 kids celebrating my sister's 30th birthday. The houses are nice - clean, but simple. This is not a luxurious property. It definitely feels like a summer vacation home. The homes are the perfect distance from each other, and the property itself is beautiful. There were deer everywhere! The lake is just a short walk down a hill. However, it's not the nicest part of Canyon Lake. It's more of an inlet to the main part of the lake. We enjoyed s'mores by the fire, and the brook along the right side of the property is something out of a fairytale. Two of the kids were toddlers, so it would have been nice if the porch railing was child proof. There is a huge gap that the kids could easily fall through, with a 10-foot drop! The houses were stocked with tons of paper towels, dishwashing liquid, detergent, pots/pans, dishes for nine people in each house, utensils, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bath towels, and cold A/C! Another great quality of this property is the short distance to the local Brookshire Brothers grocery store. So, it was easy to stock up on what we needed before getting settled. Overall, a nice property for what we needed and we enjoyed our stay.
If you're staying at this property, I recommend you bring:
-Floats/noodles for the lake
-Bug spray - there are bugs everywhere after the sun goes down.
-A few dish towels
-A few extra rolls of toilet paper
-Extra trash bags
