About Nita Frederick
My Name is Nita Frederick. I grew up the daughter of an academic who conducted social science research overseas and a travel agent who was an avid, if not, addicted traveler and I have lived and traveled all over the world. Recently, I relocated to Lexington to make this lovely city my home. I chose Lexington because of its southern hospitality and historic charm…and it felt like home when I pulled into town. I started Bluegrass Vacation Rentals as one way to participate in the burgeoning urban revitalization of historic downtown and to share my enthusiasm for my new home with other avid travelers. One of the terrific things about Lexington and Lexingtonians is the small town feel and their hospitality. Within the historic downtown area you can walk to all kinds of restaurants, cafes, bars, and shops and you will undoubtedly run into someone who will strike up a conversation with you, make you feel right at home, give you restaurant recommendations, directions, suggestions on what you should see or do while you are here, or tell you a story about living in Lexington. As a traveler in the US and abroad I have been welcomed and hosted by wonderful folks and now it is my turn to do the same. I look forward to your visit.

Excellent location and exactly as advertised. Nita was very helpful with some great options for entertainment visiting the area. Would recommend to anyone.
Really great experience!
Very nice 3 bedroom, great location, and Nita is great to work with!
We had a great stay at this lovely apartment. It is very comfortable, clean, nicely decorated, and well-equipped. The owner has made a big effort to think of everything you might need during your stay. She was extremely responsive and helpful with recommendations for dining in the area. The apartment is very conveniently located. We will definitely be returning!
Nita met us at the penthouse and showed us everything we needed to know. She gave great suggestions on things to do locally. The penthouse was sparkling clean and updated. Perfect for 3 couples! Hope to stay again!
This 3 bedroom penthouse condo was perfect for our family of five. We were in town for our twin's University of Kentucky orientation. The condo manager, Nita greeted us upon our arrival and answered all of our questions. She checked in with us during our stay and was responsive to one of my questions within minutes. As other people have mentioned, the condo is stocked with every amenity you could need which is a rarity with rentals. The condo is tucked away in a quiet, historical section of town. It is close proximity for walking to shops and restaurants and is a short drive to everything else in Lexington. I can't say enough wonderful things about this place and Nita. I would definitely recommend this place and expect that we will be staying here again in the future.
Beautiful and comfortable - the penthouse was perfect for a long weekend to meet up with my family. This location is perfect for walking to lots of restaurants and local breweries, and a great central point for sight seeing. Nita graciously welcomed us and checked in the following morning to make sure we were comfortable. We definitely were...the beds are very comfortable and we appreciated all the amenities throughout from body wash to coffee. We will absolutely come back in our next visit, and highly recommend the penthouse.
