About Sue Aery, Owner
I am a local chiropractor. I moved here 10 years ago to be in the mountains where I can hike, bike, swim, kayak any time I want. I have 5 dogs that go everywhere with me, even when I rent somewhere else from VRBO! The towns of Cashiers, Highlands and Franklin are not only places where I work but places that I love.

Why Sue Aery, Owner chose Sugarfork
I found this house on an internet site and immediately fell in love with its location and serenity. The breezes are hypnotic and the woods and mountains are a relaxing environment without being too far from anything. I love waking up to the sounds of the trees and smelling the soft fragrances of whatever wildflower is in bloom. The blackberries are ripe for picking in July to August and they are sweet and wonderful!
What makes this House unique
What I like most about my property is the seclusion, access to hiking and the proximity to my three favorite towns for shopping, entertainment and restaurants. The local community is wonderful, there are so many events to choose from whether you like music, arts, outdoor sports, you name it! Is just a great place with a great feel, come visit us!

We enjoyed our stay here so much. The property was perfect and the view was even better. We had everything we needed and we were close to so much to do. We highly recommend staying here, you won’t be disappointed!
Marco, so glad you had a wonderful time! Thanks so much for your feedback. We are so glad that you had a wonderful time. We love Catspaw too!
Beautiful view and cozy house made for the perfect get-away for our family.
We really enjoyed our stay and chose a great time of year. We were delighted to awaken to a winter wonderland our first morning there. It seemed as if we were the only folks on the mountain as we looked out over the iced, white treetops. The house had everything we needed to make our New Year's happy!
Great views, and this cabin has everything you need.
Wonderful setup and furnishings in this mountain cabin.
If you are staying in Cullowhee or Cashiers be prepared for at least a 25 - 30 minute drive to get up to the cabin. Once there you will have a wonderful time and really enjoy the stunning view from the deck.
Thanks for the review and for choosing Catspaw Cabin for your mountain getaway! We do love the seclusion of our cabin and the quiet tranquility at 4900 feet. The views are what bring and keep our guests happy so we are thrilled that you had a great time. Thanks again, Sue
Wonderful home with a super view!
It was well furnished, clean, comfortable and the view was gorgeous! Plenty of room for 3 of us, anything you need in the kitchen to cook with, lots of extra towels and we did one load of laundry. 15 mins up the mountain to the house, 20 mins from the bottom of the hill to highlands. And 20 more to cashiers. Great location. Sue made the transaction and experience super easy and we would love to visit again!
Amazing holiday weekend in the mountains!
My family stayed at Catspaw for the Thanksgiving holiday and had the absolute best time! The cabin was everything we needed and so much more! Sue gave us detailed directions that made getting to the cabin super easy! We did not need a 4wheel drive car--and in fact did not have any issue with the roads or driveway! The cabin was equipped with everything we needed to make a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. We drove into both Cashiers and Highlands and found both very accessible from the cabin! It was extremely clean and well kept. From our family to yours we thank you for an incredible holiday weekend! We plan to make this a tradition and cannot wait to come back to Catspaw!
Natural waterfalls are unique to this area of the Smoky Mountains. Access to the Bartram Trail nearby, this is part of the Appalachian Trail. Within a 90 minute drive you can visit Cherokee, Pigeon Forge, Asheville, The Biltmore, Zip lining, Rafting, Smoky Mountain Performing Arts Center and much much more.
