About Amber Cone

We are a happily married couple who are avid kayakers and love living on the river. We want to share the cabin and beautiful river with others.

Amber Cone purchased this cabin in 2015

Why Amber Cone chose Florida Central Gulf Coast

We moved to this location in Weeki Wachee 25 years ago and enjoy it very much. We consider this area a paradise. We are across the river, and we will of course respect your privacy. But if you have a need, we are here to help. We want to share our paradise with others.

What makes this cabin unique

We especially enjoy that we are just 4 miles from the conveniences and crowds on the US 19, but yet in this peaceful haven it is laid back and stress free. Seeing the passing boats , people enjoying the clear cool waters as they swim or kayak , viewing manatees, river otters, sea birds and fish is always a joy. We never tire of seeing herds of manatees and have enjoyed their touch as they have brushed against us on the river. Cooling off in the 72 degree water refreshes us for the entire day. There are so many sandy private beaches along the winding river to get out of the kayak and take a dip or you may prefer to dip at Rogers Park.

Great

Amber and Jon are great! They are so helpful, and patient! The cabin is so cute, and has everything you need. Kayaking the Weeki Wachee was the best, crystal clear cool water.

Truthful Advertising!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was everything in the description and more! The owners really took care with everything from the decor to cleanliness (something I'm always nervous about). They left us an awesome guest book and that we referenced several times during our stay. The location was perfect we literally had the springs in our backyard and they had everything we needed via kayaks, paddles, life jackets, and tubes. The park across the street was awesome. My family really enjoyed themselves and we made memories to last us a lifetime.

Amazing trip!

  • 5 of 5

We were in the water most of the day, it was a blast. Had four kayaks, one was a two man. There was soap, shampoo, conditioner, and coffee! Extremely accommodating. We saw a bunch of manatees. It was an amazing time! Thank you so much! We will definitely be coming again!

Great location & very clean!!

  • 4 of 5

We saw manatees right off the dock! The place was fully stocked with all your needs from bath soap, shampoo & conditioner, Keurig coffee etc. The place is definitely well cared for right down to the adorable stenciling on the walls. Owners were very helpful with Kayaking adventures and my 8 month old was able to use her walker all through the house due to the nice laminate flooring. We hope to book again this summer with Grandma & Grandpa!!

The Weeki Wachee cabin was fantastic - clean, centrally located, and larger than it appears in photo

We highly recommend the Weeki Wachee cabin. It's convenient, clean, and comfortable. Everything was provided for us and the kayaking, fishing, and seeing the manatee were awesome. The owners are incredibly accommodating and helpful.

Just what we needed!

  • 5 of 5

From the first look online, the cabin at Rogers Park looked like the experience we were seeking for our Florida winter escape. Our arrival only confirmed our first impressions: the cabin is cute, cozy, close to nature and the outdoors, and well stocked with everything needed for our comfort. We launched kayaks almost daily from our own dock and paddled to visit the manatees and cruise the canals of our watery neighborhood. Nature in all of its glory was close and easily accessible, aided by the good counsel of our hosts, whose knowledge of the Nature Coast led us to some favorite spots within a 5-mile drive of the cabin. Nice little parks and reserves abound in this area, so there is no lack of things to do, but basking in the sun in your own backyard is a nice option as well. The cabin is a short distance from the road, but it proved not to be much of a problem, because Shoal Line Blvd. is not terribly busy. On the plus side, it does provide quick access to some wonderful restaurants without too much driving. John and Amber were helpful, responsive and friendly and all questions and problems were quickly answered. They own a kayak rental shop just across the river, and our six-mile paddle downriver was the highlight of our stay!
