Great location and perfect for lots of people with lots of space both indoors and out
The villa was really great - fabulous location and a great house for lots of people with all the bedrooms being en suite and lots of space
Fabulous stay in lovely Tuscan Villa
The description to this villa doesn't do it justice!
It is set in the quiet countryside with fabulous views of Tuscan hills. The garden is very well maintained and set in a few acres and very pretty. The main house was built in the 1600's and is very cute, well decorated and furnished. There are a total of 4 different outside seating areas, one is half in and out and a lovely gathering area, the pool is well maintained and has comfortable seats and sunbeds.
Every bedroom is ensuite and there is a downstairs bathroom with a bath. The kitchen is small for the size of house but we didn't use it to much.
There are 2 lounge areas and a large dining area. We rented at the end of May and the house was fairly damp, our clothes that were hung up got really damp, so suggest to the owners they add some de- humidifiers.
The description is slightly misleading, the main house has 5 bedrooms all ensuite, there is another smaller house that has 2 further bedrooms and I'm presuming one bathroom. We didn't need to use it so it was locked.
There is a washing machine in the outhouse, but we couldn't find any pegs.
The villa is close to the small town of Inpruneta, but they should change the timing on the description it would be a good 20 minute walk and the lanes are very narrow, and up and down and dark you wouldn't want to walk back at night.
My husband and I stayed with our grown children and their partners and had a wonderful stay. Caterina was our local contact and she was really helpful and she and her sister cooked us a delightful Italian meal on our last night.
The only thing that let this stay down was the agency that was dealing with the property, they were very slow at getting back to us. Told us there were no swimming towels when there were and didn't let Caterina know that we were arriving a day later! Because of their tardiness I was really wondering what the house would be like, but it was more than perfect for our stay in the area, I just wish we had stayed longer!
Our goal was to stay in the Tuscan countryside and this house did not disappoint. Had everything we needed including a huge fireplace that we utilized daily. Close to town but out far enough to get gorgeous views of the countryside. Sunrises were breathtaking as well. We will definetly stay here again on our next trip back to Imprunetta. If you are looking to stay in the countryside in an authentic Italian house, this is the place.
Fabulous: A space for everyone for every part of t
Absolutely ideal for a large group to stay in. It's many rooms, each with it's own character, and it's variety of outdoor spaces, all situated on different sides of the property were perfect for everyone to find a space they wanted to be in at every part of the day. Fabulous views across the Tuscan hills, especially from the pool, a beautiful 20 minute walk (5 minute drive) to the local village and a beautiful meal cooked for us by the owners of the hoiuse. Couldn't have asked for more.
A Beautiful House
We stayed for a week late April 2011 and had great weather (although too cold to use the pool!).
Six of us ranging in ages from 13 to 50 (with 18/21 in-between).
It is a beautiful house in a perfect location for exploring local countryside and towns/cities/sights, but also very peaceful. It easily swallowed our family and would do the same with more people, having plenty of different areas to sit, eat, sleep and relax.
Very well equipped with all that is needed whether eating/cooking at home, collecting take-away (pizza), or eating out - good local food available in Impruneta and surrounding area/villages.
Family very welcoming and helpful, and property well maintained and clean.
Both Tuscany and Villa Le Dame lived up to all of our expectations and we will be returning to both.
I stayed here with my family at the end of May. The property is absolutely fabulous. Really very beautiful with large, nicely furnished rooms, all with en-suite. There were more public rooms than we knew what to do with as well as several outside areas that made it easy to enjoy a Tuscan picnic either under cover in the middle of the day or under the starry Italian sky. The property is about 1 mile outside of Impruneta making it feel rural but meaning that restaurants/supermarkets are easily accessible. It's also easy to visit areas such as San Gimignano & Florence as well as smaller villages within the Chianti region.
The property was clean and well equipped. We struggled to work the TV but didn't really plan on watching TV in Italy anyway.
There were two bikes available to use and the pool was much appreciated if best described as refreshing.
The only thing that was missing was a folder of local attractions as it would have made it easier to organise a trip to a local vineyard or made us aware of other areas of local interest.
I have already recommended this property to friends.
For those seeking a memorable holiday discovering the pleasures of Tuscany this charming cilla has it all, situated within walking distance of the hamlet of Impruneta and a stone's throw from Florence.
