Built in 1868 Casa da Fonte is a carefully restored traditional granite stone farmhouse with a courtyard that retains many original features. Overlooking a rural hamlet, the property is set on a terraced hillside of chestnut and oak trees with mountain views. Steps leading down from the pool area take you on to a grassed terrace with shrubs and flower borders. Guests are invited to explore the gardens, relax in the shade under the vines or use the grassed area to play boules/petanque or badminton.
Indoors, situated on the ground floor in the old oak-beamed stables is a games room and bar. This offers a cool refuge from the heat of the day and contains a table-tennis table, table football, dartboard and computer with broadband access.
The 10 x 5.5 m swimming pool is set on a terrace overlooking the valley. There are ample sun loungers and a poolside dining area.
