About The Owner

Michael Allen lives in the Seattle area. He is an avid skier and enjoys summertime hiking and enjoy spending time with his children and 2 grandchildren.

The Owner purchased this cabin in 2011

Why The Owner chose Enumclaw

Greenwater is the perfect getaway being only 90 minutes from Seattle. We love the short drive up to Crystal Mtn Resort and being minutes for Mt Rainier National Park. Bob's Cabin (named after long-time resident Bob Osgood) is a charming, cozy cabin with ample room for entertaining friends and family.

What makes this cabin unique

Whether relaxing in the hot tub after a day skiing or hiking, there is nothing more enjoyable than listening to the sounds of the river from the deck at Bob's Cabin. Oftentimes Elk will wander through the property in the early morning of evening.

Walk down peaceful Lumpy Lane to Wapiti Woolies for your morning latte or up to the historic Naches Tavern for a beer and burger.

Whether you are looking for dramatic scenery on an all-day hike or a easy afternoon walk, all are available within minutes of Greenwater.

Bob's Cozy Cabin is like a big hug!

  • 5 of 5

A visit to Bob's Cozy Cabin is a must-do! Close enough to the big city, it is a great getaway. The cabin is solid and stylish and just a wonderful slice of heaven. The upstairs is surprisingly big! It is fun to check out the river and walk through the neighborhood. Also the local businesses and hiking at Crystal complete the whole package. Enjoy!

Quiet retreat

  • 4 of 5

Bob's Cabin was a nice retreat for a few days for us, and Steven's birthday! Just a little issue with housekeeping that has been resolved. We were pleasantly surprised to find that you can leave your windows open at night and sleep to the sound of the river. There was an added bonus for us because we were able to watch the salmon run in the river behind the cabin. This cabin is also a perfect location to stay to access the Sunrise entrance to Mt Rainier. We were a little concerned about the fires nearby but Mike assured us all was clear...and it was. Wapiti Woolies has good coffee and quite a good selection of gifts, and really nice people. Thanks for everything!

Very enjoyable stay with just some minor hiccups...

  • 4 of 5

This property is absolutely amazing. It is far enough off of the main road one cannot hear highway noise and with a hot tub on the back deck next to the river, makes for an incredibly relaxing evening. The cabin is the quick all of the essentials however some of the basics were a bit on the scarce side like hand soap. This leads me into the explanation why I chose not to rate this property a five-star. Upon our arrival we noticed there was a used toothbrush in the sink, dirty wash cloth on one of the shelves in the bathroom, used rag left behind in the shower, shower mats appear to have mold growing under them, the barbecue had not been clean in quite sometime and there was still chunks of chicken left on it. I left a message with the owner who got back with me later on that evening and was very apologetic and assured me that he will be speaking to his housekeeper. Other than the condition of the cabin upon our arrival, we had an amazing time and I would certainly stay there again.

Great Fun

  • 5 of 5

Bob's Cabin was the perfect spot for my wife, me, and her parents. Very cozy. The owners were super accommodating and the hot tub was great for relaxing after a day's hike. Highly recommended. Check out the selection of classic fantasy and sci-fi novels behind the couch!

Cozy cabin, great location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Bob’s cabin over the weekend just a few weeks ago. Brought out of town guests to Mt. Rainier for some hiking and relaxation. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and hope to return. The cabin is homey and equipped with everything you need for a weekend or a few days away. The hot tub overlooking the river is a highlight and the kitchen has everything you need for basic meal prep. Love how organized the owners are too with the whole “welcome to the cabin” packet with a list of everything included. Makes packing/prep super easy. Only gripe of the weekend was the pluming (shower, bathroom) which backed up a few hours after we arrived HOWEVER, the owner was incredibly responsive and took the extra steps to be sure our experience was a positive one. We hope to return this winter as the cabin would be a great jumping off point for a local winter getaway at Crystal Mountain.

Close , but far enough away:)

  • 4 of 5

Was looking for a private, cozy place in the mountains, yet close enough to a town for amenities. Bobs Cozy Cabin provided just that. Didn't have perfect weather, SO really enjoyed the hot tub, and the nice selection of movies! Hiked one day, boots got soaked! Was nice on a cool summer eve to be able to warm ourselves and dry our boots by the fireplace. Home away from home, was able to make muffins with the treasure of Huckleberry/Blueberry's found on the hike. The antique stove worked perfectly!

Thank you for a great stay.
