This three bedroom ranch house features a large sun room over looking the Sauble River. The house includes a fully equipped kitchen, a large living room with cable TV, and 1.5 baths.
We bought the house in April of 1990. My wife and I have enjoyed the beauty and peacefulness the Sauble River. Nothing can compare to the tranquil sound of a flowing river over the rocks and the sun reflecting off the moving water.
Nick Kussy purchased this house in 1990
I have been enjoying the northwestern Michigan area since the early 1970's. Over the years my family ( children and grandchildren) have enjoyed the beauty and recreational fun the area has to offer.
The view of the river from the sun-room or a camp fire down by the rivers edge is difficult to beat.
We rented the Kussy Cottage for (4) nights in late February. When we arrived, the cottage was warm and ready for our arrival. The place was very clean and comfortable and felt like home away from home. It is extremely well stocked with dishes, fridge, stove, microwave, grill, woodstove, satellite TV, WIFI, etc. Only thing required to bring was towels and sheets for two of the beds.
Nick is a fantastic gentleman to deal with and very accommodating. We would highly recommend staying here and cannot wait to come back next season.
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving time in this house. We really enjoyed.
Enjoyed fishing, campfires , deer and all wildlife lots of birds and squirrels. We had an awesome time the home had a great feel to it with loads of
character. Very peaceful, especially liked the sun room for all our meals , appreciated the music selection ( we are 59 ) while playing yahtzee and scrabble.Caught small brown trout while enjoying sitting by the river and even deer crossing early Sunday morning. We got exactly what we were
looking for and enjoyed the entire experience.
This river front cottage provides an outdoor experience that is truly refreshing.
I enjoyed the company of friends doing some late season salmon fishing on the PM River, and we spent every evening around the fire pit, sharing the stories of the day. The grounds are very well maintained, and the layout of the property provides easy access form the river area and fire pit up to the cottage.
The cottage itself is very comfortable, and plenty of staple items can be found in the kitchen...something that can't be said for other places I have stayed in the Branch Township area.
The owner is easily accessible, and very professional in his approach to make a comfortable, relaxing environment.
I would recommend this cottage to those who like the outdoor experience, and to those engaged in outdoor sporting activities.
We loved staying at the River House. I can't really add much more to the previous reviews about the house itself - it was more than adequate for our family. The river really was lovely. We went tubing - a fun time, but expect to "walk" your tube through many shallow areas. There are golf courses close enough for those looking for non-fishing activities - as well as Ludington State Park.
Nick is good to rent from; he began communicating with us well before our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. We would certainly stay there if we were to go back. Thanks Nick.
The cabin was just as we expected--very clean, sizable, and well stocked with necessities. The interior is definitely a little aged, but what weekend cabin isn't? The back yard was much more impressive than the pictures showed. The babbling stream was very soothing, there is a nice fire pit with plenty of seating, and a terraced seating/eating area as well.
Nick was fantastic with communication and very accommodating. I wouldn't hesitate to rent this spot again, it was a great value!
