About Michael Johns

I began vacationing to the area about 10 years ago while in college at Auburn University. Hiking, snow tubing, and escaping the hot humid summers down south were just a few reasons to start. As the years went by I became more knowledgeable about the area and shared the knowledge with family and friends. My family and I have been blessed with many wonderful memories in the mountains of North Carolina. We hope to have many more to come.

Michael Johns purchased this cabin in 2016

Why Michael Johns chose Marion

I decided to buy this property because of the outstanding mountain views, beautiful cabin, and central location to many area attractions. No matter what time of day or season the view is always spectacular. One step inside the great room and I knew this was my dream cabin. All the beautiful interior wood from floor to wall to ceiling is very impressive. Also, the property consists of over 2 acres at the top of a mountain ridge. The property is only a short few minutes to downtown Marion. (Just 10 minutes)

What makes this cabin unique

The cabin is spacious, but cozy. It is decorated with casual elegance and the furniture has been chosen with comfort in mind. The cabin features three floors. There is one bedroom on each floor for maximum privacy. It is not only close to Marion, but to many other attractions like Pisgah National Forest, Lake Lure, Lake James, Mount Mitchell, Blue Ridge Parkway, local wineries and vineyards, waterfalls, tubing, kayaking, swimming, Chimney Rock, Biltmore Estate, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Caverns, Boone, Blowing Rock, and more.

Beautiful property with breathtaking views!

  • 5 of 5

Our family stayed at this beautiful cabin for 8 days and we couldn't have asked for a better vacation spot. It is fairly close to local attractions, as well as restaurants, gas stations, and grocery/department stores.

The cabin was very inviting and cozy, with many amenities too numerous to count.

The owner is very accommodating and prompt whenever a question may arise.

My family and I will definitely be back for a future visit!

Wonderful Trip to the Mountains

  • 5 of 5

Michael was very accommodating and helpful when we had a TV issue one night during our trip. The cabin was beautiful and has an incredible view. The driveway is steep, no lie!

Being from FL, we were aware ahead of time and rented a truck - glad we did. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this cabin to anyone. Also, on a side note: If your looking for amazing Mexican food close by the cabin - check out La Salsa - the food was out of this world!

Amazing place.

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is one of the best if you want a scenic weekend getaway! We stayed a full weekend. Our favorite part is the view in the back yard from the deck. You can see all through the mountains and the sunrise is amazing. The cabin is plenty big for your group and can fit everyone comfortabley. Having three floors makes it great for privacy and the main floor with kitchen and full living room connected makes it a great spot to spend time with your friends and family! It is a little tricky finding the cabin at first, but once you’re up there, you feel away from the world and can make some great memories. If you want a scenic mountain getaway with lots of friends and family, then this is your cabin.

Beautiful, well kept cabin with amazing views!

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved the cabin! We have 6 kids and planned a get away for this family to see snow and spend quality time together. This cabin was updated and very clean. Plenty of space and board games for kids, everything you need for the kitchen and the master suite was perfect with a huge jacuzzi tub to relax after a long day. The outdoor area was fantastic with a great fire pit and grill. We truly enjoyed our stay and...we even got snow!
