Enjoy a week or a weekend in this charming two bedroom, fully furnished, waterfront cabin situated on Potagannissing Bay on picturesque Drummond Island, known as "Michigan's Ultimate Playground". Decorated and furnished in a rustic theme, this is a true up north get away.
The cabin is located in Misty Harbor Commons, which is a small community of 8 individually owned cabins. The property
lies on 300 ft of Lake Huron Waterfront on Tourist Road. The views of the bay and out islands is unprecedented. The property includes a private boat harbor with steel bulkhead, floating docks, and boat slips. A fish cleaning house is on site for taking care of your days' catch, and a storage building available for storing boating, fishing, and water sports equipment. There's a fire pit for evening relaxation and conversation.
The cabin is 600 square feet with 2 bedrooms, full bathroom with shower, and fully equipped kitchen. It has been recently redecorated. As can be seen in the pictures, the main room of the cabin is an open floor plan with kitchen, dining table and living room. The main room has hardwood flooring and the bedrooms are newly carpeted.
The cabin is centrally located to the many activities that the island has to offer. Once off the ferry, its a quick 15 minute drive to the cabin. It's close to the village (the 4 Corners), hiking, biking and RV trails, two public golf courses, and the local restaurants. The recreational opportunities are abundant with outstanding fishing, boating, hiking, biking and off-roading. Not to mention the opportunity for pure, peaceful relaxation if one desires.

It was perfect for our needs. The whole atmosphere of the island is very laid back and friendly. People wave as you drive by. We were never in a hurry to get anywhere so the ferry added to the adventure. We were able to get anywhere we wanted easily, both on and off the island.
Frank and Sally were great to work with. Fast communication and in tune to meet our needs.
We were able to use the library's wifi and we found a few places that our cell phones would get service. We have Verizon. Our GPS ( Subaru ) worked until we went to the more remote areas. As small as the island is, it is not difficult to navigate GPS or not.
We were able to catch some pan fish in the boat dock area.
Go and enjoy a slower way of life.
Very nice cabin, only T.V. is the VCR which was fine for me there are plenty of games, and outdoors activities . Great place to leave the outside world behind...cell phones pick up signal from Canada and connection is poor. The cabin is very comfortable and clean the oven didn't work but there is a grill. No AC but with all the fans we were quite comfortable. Beds are comfy but full size. Shower is small and shower head is a water saver, you can get clean easy enough but don't plan on washing long hair. Overall this was a real nice place to stay. The people that we rented from were very nice and the neighbors there are very friendly and helpful. I would stay again.
Great place, beautiful views, nice neighbors, Great place to relax and enjoy nature
The owners were very responsive and helpful providing instructions and details of the property. The cabin and accommodations were just as described by the website and owners. The cabin was clean and had all of the necessary amenities. Nothing fancy, but just right.
The only issue was that the dock was much too small for our 18' fishing boat. It may support a 12' boat. However, a neighbor cabin allowed us to use their dock which was really helpful. The owners acknowledged the need for a larger dock and indicated that they will expand it.
Note that the beds are not large. I'd certainly share one with my wife but not my dad or fishing buddies. Glad I brought an extra cot for sleeping. Two of the guys didn't bring cots and were a little too cozy sleeping. We got a good laugh out of it.
The location was great and convenient for the fishing we wanted and for restaurants/stores/etc. The neighbors were also friendly and helpful. Did I mention that the owners were very responsive and helpful...really appreciated that.
Would certainly consider a return trip.
We loved the cabin. The view was great either inside or sitting on the patio chairs. The cabin inside was wonderful, perfect for cooking or watching dvds, the bed was comfy, plenty of hot water. Everything you need is there. The binoculars came in handy watching the boats and viewing the wildlife. We saw many deer, hawks, herons, an an eagle. Awesome! Didn't do any fishing, manly relaxed Wonderful place to stay, eat at Esther's when you get there. Frank is fast at responding to any questions or concerns.
Private protected harbor with steel bulkhead, floating docks, boat slips, and electrical outlets. High elevation overlooking Potagannissing Bay and outer islands. Several boat launches nearby.
