We built this house in 1995. We are from Louisiana and go up to the house for a great skiing and hunting and atv riding whitewater rafting. Not to mention making family memories.

LINDA TAYLOR purchased this cabin in 1995

Why LINDA TAYLOR chose South Central Colorado

This is a perfect spot for everything you

heart desires to do in Colorado. And you

will feel you are in Gods creations as you

drive up the pass to our house. the skiing is also very affordable compared to bigger ski slopes. The ski lifts lines are not long so you get as much time as you need on blues greens and blacks.

What makes this cabin unique

We enjoy the weather in fall and summer.

In the winter great skiing and kids enjoy sledding out our front door. My family has enjoyed our house with all our friends. I know your family will too. Come visit our home and I know you will be back.

Perfect location!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is in the perfect location. It is less than 10 minutes to the ski resort and only a short drive back down to Salida if you need groceries or a place to eat. The cabin is clean and well maintained and has plenty of room. We stayed with 8 people and felt like it was large enough. The cabin owner was quick and easy to communicate with. We will be staying here again in the future.

Winter Surprise!!!

  • 5 of 5

What a grand time we had.... we surprised our family with a winter holiday ... The little girls were in awe of the loft and claimed it as their own...the cabin was very clean and welcoming... the fireplace added an extra dose of cozy .. the location so close to skiing was such a treat ski hard and in less than ten minutes you are back at the cabin.... a wonderful retreat...

Monarch cabin

  • 5 of 5

Cosy cabin, minutes from ski resort, just up the hill. Clean, comfortable, warm and well equipped. Delightful place to spend the weekend and get our fill of skiing and snow shoeing.

Good, cozy cabin

  • 4 of 5

Our family loved staying at this cabin. Our kids especially loved the "Hidden Arrows" found all over the house. It was literally just a few minutes to amazing snow at Monarch. So fun! And actually the little road across from the cabin turned out to be a great sledding hill (watch out for cars!). Some of the beds were a little squishier than we would prefer, but one bed was firm enough, so that was fine. Our girls loved the loft and played contentedly for hours there.

Salida/Monarch is a GREAT skiing destination. Kids under 6 are free and juniors (7-13 or 14) are only $20 a day. You really cannot find a better deal for such great snow! If you can make the drive, this would be a great place to stay.

Another Great Stay!

  • 5 of 5

We love this cabin! It's so close to the Monarch ski area - a 5 minute drive in good weather. We have stayed here 3 out of the last 4 years during our Spring Break. It truly is a "home away from home." We will continue staying here for years to come.
