About the property

Sleeps 6 adults

Comfy, casual four season lake house. We have enjoyed this home as our family getaway for the past 14 years. If you want a cup of coffee in the morning watching the ducks land on the lake from the family room or lay in the hammock watching the sun set to the sounds of laughter, kids and boats....Yup, it's this place. The evenings can bring a bonfire in the fire pit by the lake and star gazing which will truely take your breath away. Keep your eyes open for the deer and wild turkey and don't leave your T-shirt on the deck, we have a little red squirrel that will eat it! If you are looking for a showroom rental this may not be for you. In other words, there are a few honey do's to be found but who has time for work when the lake is calling. It is definitely clean, neat, and very homey. Very family friendly!

For all you ice fishermen out there check out the ice fishing on YOUTUBE.com and type in Lake Camelot. The second video is us!

Why Jackie chose Central Wisconsin

Construction of Sand Valley, a new world class golf destination began in 2014. Sand Valley will be laid into the giant sand dunes in central Wisconsin close to Lake Petenwell, and adjacent to Lake Arrowhead's Pines Course. When completed, Sand Valley will have up to four Scottish-style courses, all designed by acclaimed golf course architects.

Experience fishing in all area waters. Lakes Arrowhead, Camelot, and Lake Sherwood offer healthy populations of largemouth bass, walleye, northern pike and panfish. Lake Petenwell is a must for the serious angler...year round. Every year Nekoosa's Walleye Days attract fishermen from far and wide. In winter, ice fishing enthusiasts flock to the water for monster crappies, walleye, and northern pike. What a great way to spend quality time with your family.

What makes this cottage unique

Our home is on the lake front with a private dock and a small sand beach. The beach has a gradual drop off and is perfect for small children and adults alike. To help you relax, a love seat swing by the dock will definitely do the trick. During the day, fishing off the pier will get you crappies, sunfish and perch. Go out a little deeper for bass and trout. At night, sit by the fire pit and roast marshmallows, s'mores or just gaze at the beautiful star lit night. Wildlife abounds, it's not unusual to see deer, wild turkey and an occasional turtle crossing the road on your

way into town.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Hi Bill,

My wife and I wanted to tell you that we had a great time. The cottage was perfect and exactly the type of place we were looking for. We had a great time on the lake both fishing and swimming. Also, I think that we watched almost all of your movies ...great selection by the way...A couple of quick notes: We had very quick storm that blew through on Tuesday morning..it was incredible how strong the wind started blowing…3 of the tiki torchers tops were blown off. You may want to check them before lighting. We also had to use some of you charcoal, but went into town and bought a bag. We put the bag in the charcoal container below the bbq.

Anyway, thanks again for helping us create great family memories…we all want to come back again.

ice fishing get away

  • 5 of 5

My freinds and I decided to try some place new for our annual ice fishing trip excursion this year. As a group of 8 guys we really aren't that picky, and have stayed in some very uncomfortable places. This home is exactly the opposite from all other trips. I would start by saying, Jackie is an amazing person to deal with. Right from the initial contact, till the day we left, she was easy to talk to and seemed very willing to do whatever she could to insure that our stay at her home would be great. She was quick to respond the whole time with any questions big or small we had. The overall sediment from our group was, this is way to nice for us, but I would like to follow that up by saying everyone was very comfortable the whole time we were there, and are looking forward to coming back next year. As stated in many of these reviews the kitchen is awesome, with quality accessories.Having three full bathrooms was unexpected but very nice. It has a nice big dinning room table which we were all able to sit and eat our meals together, and of course play cards and toss a few back every night. We really enjoyed having the ability to carry our gear through the lower doors, and out the back right out to the lake. Jackie was able to get us on fish right away with her expertise, and we manage to keep and clean enough decent size fish to have a fish fry our last night up there. Which in 15 yrs getting together for this trip was the first. Primarily, because there is an exceptional place to clean the fish inside with running water to help in cleaning up when done.

Great fall stay!

  • 5 of 5

Property is as described- charming, well-kept, clean place on a beautiful lake lot. Our group of 8 hunters found the sleeping accommodations spacious and comfortable. Roomy kitchen with current appliances, deck, great windows/light/view in the living room. Adding wifi would be a plus. Great central location. Great communication with the property owner. Would stay here again.

Great location; great accommodations

  • 5 of 5

Five day family vacation comprised of 8 adults. This lake home is very spacious, clean and comfortable. Have rented on this lake several times before, but this was the first with Jackie. All of our expectations were met. Space to dock our boat (19') and two jet skis. Easy place to get busy on the water, or if that's not your thing, then just as easy to relax with a book, a fire, a bike ride or long walks. Plenty of amenities to prepare food inside and outside. Really can't go wrong here.

Well stocked and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed here with 2 other couples while attending a wedding in Wi. Rapids. Jackie's house was a perfect spot for the 6 of us. The setting is quiet and the view off the back porch is great. It has that real Wisconsin lake house feel to it.(Go Pack) The house itself was very comfy and laid out well. Being a chef by trade I was pleased to find everything in the kitchen was so well stocked. I didn't do much cooking but if I wanted to it would have been easy. If there was any downside for 3 adult couples is that the bathrooms are all separate from the bedrooms.

Jackie was very easy to work with before and during our stay. She responded to any calls quickly and was very accommodating. We would book a return stay without hesitation.

Thanks again,Jackie

Perfect place for families and couples

  • 5 of 5

The house is beautiful, and well decorated. Kitchen was equipped with whatever you can imagine. Place is perfect for families with kids because you will find all kinds of sports equipment. Outside has, 2 grills, area for bonfire, swing, patio. It is great place for fishing. We found a lot of delicious wild mushrooms in the woods. Loved it..

Enchanting, Comfortable, Funky and Relaxing

  • 5 of 5

This cottage was such a fabulous place to go for a 'get-out-of-the-city' summer vacation! I grew up going to a cottage on a lake in Wisconsin and was craving the summer lake experience for a vacation. This lovely cabin lived up to and exceeded my expectations. The house is super-airy and spacious set right on the lake with a mini-private beach, sick, and cute red swing. The place is comfy for a couple, but also big enough to sleep 10+ without feeling too huge. The decoration was funky and inviting, with a great sense of style, yet it still made you feel like you could plop on one of the cushy couches for a nap. The beds were luxurious and the multiple bathrooms were convenient. We spent most of the time in the lake, kayaking, swimming, floating on rafts, grilling burgers, playing yard games, and cooking up s'mores in the campfire. The deck is big and has a full umbrella table that we used for coffee, reading, and meals. The large kitchen table was the site of some great board game playing. The views of the lake (from inside and out) and the stunning blaze-orangey sunsets are amazing. There are plenty of close-by convenience and grocery stores, and you gotta check out The Branding Iron Supper Club in Wis Rapids for a great steak or fish-fry, and old-fashioneds. Jackie was super-friendly, welcoming, and fun. We felt at home before we even got there. If you want a fabulously relaxing and beautiful place to unplug, chill, and refuel, this is it. We loved it so much we'll definitely be going back!
